I have been to several Dog Haus locations, but this one is the best by far because of the very professional, organized staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant itself. I usually get a "so cali" dog because I LOVE arugala and the spicy aioli, but my boyfriend prefers the "grand slam" dog because he loves bacon and eggs at any time of day and in just about any meal. I want to give a special shout-out to a girl who works here who went out of her way to make sure our orders were correct and that the overall service was great. I think her name either is Andrea or 'Dre. I suck with names, but she's a real sweetie! THANKS!

Enjoyed Cowboy dog upgraded to pastrami link. Very tasty. Sides are decent. Links are awesome. Hamburger meat is flavorless...but sausages are what you come here for. If you are Polish - Polish sausage is not a real Polish sausage. If you are German - Wurst is like German wurst. Overall great place.

Stopped by here for a quick dinner since we were in the area. Ordered the Downtown dog since I was craving a dirty dog and the Sooo Cali and of course, Tater Tots. Downtown Dog - too much filling that it was hard to eat without the bun falling apart, definitely not as good as a dirty dog from the streets of LA. Sooo Cali - I preferred this over the Downtown Dog but it was still pretty messy to eat. Tater Tots - Crispy outside & soft inside. They were cooked just right. I thought everything was just okay but I wouldn't mind giving this place another chance.

I love Dog Haus. Hot dogs/sausages/burgers wrapped in King's Hawaiian bread?.. Genius :) I've been here twice and have had the Scott Baioli and chili cheese tater tots. The hot dog was pretty good with the sweet Hawaiian bread and savory hot dog, onions, and bacon. It had garlic aioli, which is why I ordered it, but didn't have much of a garlic taste. Nevertheless, it was still good. The star of the show was the chili cheese tater tots. Crispy and soft tater tots covered in cheese and chili.. what's not to love? The decor is modern and clean and the service is friendly. Love me them tater tots so you can expect me to be back :)

So I truly believe my life is now complete! For the longest I have seen my friends post pictures and brag about this amazing place and I finally dragged my boyfriend along to try this place out. I decided to build my own burger. This place is pure genius they have the sweet Hawaiian roll as the bun and the beef is fresh and so tasty! You have to throw those caramelized onions and fried on it too! OMG tastiest burger I have had in s long time and customer service was excellent! This location is also in a nice plaza with dozens of other places around. It is a def must have!

Why must I feel like that? Why must I chase the cat? Nothin' but the Dog Haus in me. Ruff! Yeah sorry felt like premising some dog reference and I went old school with the Atomic Dog himself. ANYWAYS! I had scoped out Dog Haus for some time now and at random decided finally to hop in the car and see what the hype truly was all about. I left feeling quite stuffed, but most importantly very content with my selections and already plotting for the return visit indeed! What stuck out most beyond the food was that yes it could get slightly pricey to try what your heart does desire, but the quality and quantity is well justified here. However, I do LOVE the fact that they use Hawaiian sweet rolls for the hot dogs and hamburgers. That was a clear indication that the meal was heading in the correct direction even prior to chewing any of it! So I first set my sights on tackling their famous kung pao cajun sausage dog. What initially took my culinary breath away was the taste of the sausage just by its lonesome. They certainly taste far from a packaged grocery store dog and it did feel like I was eating above standard ingredients and not hooves or snouts so A+ indeed there. I admit I thought the pairing of kung pao sauce/bell pepper/green onion/water chestnuts/peanuts on paper was a weird combo, but the "heat" was by no means overpowering and combo'd together certainly came out with a black belt of excellence! From there I focused my attention on the Freiburger (yeah you could say I was hungry that day). What drove this over the top for me was the meshing of the egg yolk from the fried egg and the sweet TKO from their haus slaw partnered with just a juicy and well seasoned burger. I wanted to seriously order about 5 more of these even half way through the first one so I highly recommend this to any Haus-Head! I know they are an organization on the rise very rapidly and from the consumption of even just one meal I can see why that's the case. I will be back again in the near future when my stomach is left gurgling for another Haus party!

I am giving this place 4 stars because of the service and ambience. Super chill and the staff is crazy nice! They were all awesome. Now the food.... I love a good hot dog! But I just couldn't find one at this place. On my last visit my haute dog was very bland and my weiner didn't seem cooked thoroughly. Not sure if it was just the type of weiner but there was no crunch and no juicy taste. It almost tasted like tofu. Like when your knife goes through butter, my teething glided through the weiner. Also wish they had a normal bun option. The Hawaiian rolls were too sweet for my type of haute dog expectations. Perhaps there is an option, I just didn't know about it. My husband loves this place! He absolutely loves the way the hot dogs are grilled just the way he likes. He likes that he can have a beer, a hot dog and a good time with good company (me). I pretend I love this place just because he does. Overall, this place is great. Just wish there were other options for picky hot dog snobs like me. A good weiners skin should always snap when biting into it.

The perfect blend of art and science! The team at DH has not only crafted their food, they've crafted an experience. My favorites include "The Pig and the Fig" -basically a charcuterie board on a bun; and "the hangover" -- perfect blend of egg, smoked bacon, and a bomb ass house chili. If you're in the mood for some adult refreshment, the wine in a can is great (is way more awesome than it sounds) and they also have some great beers on tap. This is definitely a place to put on your list if you're a newbie. After that it'll be a go to.

Came here by chance since I was in the area. I tried the Sooo Cali hot dog and I enjoyed it. It comes with Dog Haus hot dog topped with tomatoes, arugula, avocado, crispy onions, spicy basil aioli in a Hawaiian Bread bun. It was good. The saltiness from the hot dog, bitterness from arugula, spiciness from aioli, and sweetness from the bread worked well together. The texture from crispy onions completed the experience. I would order this again and again. The combo meal which comes with the hot dog plus a side and drink nears $10 was a bit pricey for me. Parking was ample during peak hours and the service was prompt. Never knew a hot dog could be elevated. Cool concept.

Wow wow Bow Wow wow!!! Im barking at how great the Doghaus is!!! Easy walk up to order your food of choice then you have a nice clean environment to eat and relax. The restroom is also clean and although this restaurant is small it makes up for great solid service and quality taste. I ordered the Das Brat and my wife had The Cowboy. We had to slow down on our food because it is so good that it would be a shame to gulp it down too fast. I savored mine and we also paired our dogs with fried tater tots. My wife had a beer and I shared with her. I am so glad this location is not very far from where we live. Thanks Doghaus staff and I swear the Hawaiian bread as buns is a genius move.

It's good if you like something a little daring and something on the greasy side. I personally enjoy their burgers the most. The hot dog with the egg on top is decent. All of the food here is messy to eat so don't go with your boyfriend! The food portion is big so expect your tummy to be extremely satisfied.

Food wise, I like this location better than Alhambra and Pasadena. Food here is always good and generous with toppings which is a plus for me. I usually build my own dog (beef dog, haus chili, haus slaw, mustard, onion) and they've made it to perfection each and every time. I also order burger sliders which are also delicious. Boo and I share the chili cheese tots which are dense in a good way. She also orders the cowboy dog which is good too. Will definitely be back again for sure.

I took my mother and daughter her for lunch. We pass by this place daily and have heard such great things about it. I got the Kung Pow Cajun and my mom got the Ava Marie and my daughter got the kids slider and dog. The food was really good and the tots were great!! Sadly there are a few cons: The chili cheese fries were too salty (I can do some salty but this was a bit much) and the food was a bit pricey (lets be real, you are getting a hotdog, sausage, or burger). Also, my mother thought that a gourmet burger should have a better bun than Kings Hawaiian bread. Oh and most of all...more choices on the kid menu!!! But the service was good and the beer was really great!! Caught you next time Dog Haus!!

This doghaus is in the same center as 85 degrees and guppy house, but surprisingly I've never had trouble finding parking. The service is always friendly and attentive and the tables are usually clean (despite how messy the eating gets). The first time I came, I got the old town dog, cheesy tots and their coleslaw side. All of their hotdog buns are Hawaiian bread and I thought it was pretty weird, but when I tried it, it knocked my socks off! I loved how crispy they made the bun. The old town dog was spicier than I thought it would be because of their chipotle mayo and I couldn't really taste the bacon, so I wouldn't recommend this specific hot dog. Their coleslaw was delicious but had a little too much mayo. Their cheesy tots were ok to me, but my boyfriend enjoyed them. I thought the cheese would be similar to nacho cheese, but it had a weird texture to it and I just couldn't get past that. The second time I came, I got the sooooo Cali and my boyfriend got the scotti baioli. I was so jealous because scotti baioli was super delicious! He was very nice and split half with me :). The soooo Cali was good, but there was way too much arugula which overpowered all the other flavors. I would definitely recommend the scotti baioli to everyone and the soooo Cali to arugula lovers.

Sweet Baby Jesus. Tried this on a whim. Almost got a dog (it's the dog haus...) but decided I wanted a burger. Lady up front recommended the "Hangover" and it's the best recommendation I've ever had. Ever. This burger is served on FOUR warm Kings Hawaiian rolls with bacon, cheese, "Haus" chili, and a fried egg. The chili was perfection and oozed out from my eager hands along with perfect oozy yellow egg yolk. It was decadent and the definition of a cheat meal. It felt like I was being sooooo bad but didn't make me sick after like I was kind of expecting. Perfection. We will be back. Again and again.

April 21, 2015 Long drive home, a tad bit hungry, it's sprinkling outside, and I'm craving something delicious and flavorful. What do o do? Drive straight here to Dog Haus! Ordered the Ringer, Scott Baioli, onion rings, and Haus Slaw! You can't say that's NOT satisfying. It's immensely satisfying after a long day of work, long drive towards home, and craving to be home in bed to play puzzles and procrastinate on doing homework. I always love a delicious basket of onion rings, slaw, and hot dogs on Hawaiian bread! All this was only $20! Feeds two, especially a cranky beast like me! I get real mean when I'm not fed. That's a FACT.

The Place reminds me of a Chipotle for Dogs. Not bad tasty downtown dog wrapped in bacon. Not as good as those sold on corners of Downtown L.A. but satisfied me anyway. A little pricey though. Give it a try and decide for yourself!

After doing a quick Yelp! search while in the West Covina area, I stopped in to Dog Haus with my sister to try it out. We both ordered the "Grand Slam" dog which is billed as follows: smoked bacon, fried egg, tater tots and maple syrup sriracha served in a "King's Hawaiian" bun. At first glance, I felt so strongly that it was was going to be love at first bite; a heavenly "breakfast in a bun". The dog was served slightly steaming with a delicious looking, peppered, sunny side up egg (unflipped on the pan, yolk unbroken, egg slightly set). My first bite and instantly noticed that something slightly crunchy and salty was missing. No bacon. As I chewed, I lifted the egg to see if perhaps, somehow, I had missed the bacon despite my first enormous bite. Nope. They just forgot to give me the bacon. Seriously? It is the FIRST ingredient listed on the menu description, and you FORGOT TO PUT IT ON THE DOG? (See accompanying photograph). Anyway....the tater tots gave the hot dog a nice crunchy texture, but didn't add any flavor, but the siracha maple syrup was definitely the star of this hot dog combo, lending an additional sweetness to that Hawaiian bun but a nice little spice to it as well. With each bite, I longed for that salty smoky bacon, especially those bites where the egg yolk soaked into. On my sister's dog, not only did they forget the bacon, but they also forgot to add the cotija cheese she ordered atop the egg. The beer battered onion rings were really, really good. My only complaint about them was that the cooks didn't take the time to separate all of the onion rings, which resulted in a few of them getting stuck together and, when separated, left "raw" batter between the stuck rings. Kinda gross. Considering how long it took us to get our dogs and rings, I'd expect the orders to be correct and the food to be better prepared. Had the bacon (and cotija on my sister's dog) been provided, I think going four stars would be a no brainer, and I might even consider going 4.5 (if that were a rating). For now, I'm fine with an "A-OK" rating. You may have wondered while reading the review why I didn't immediately complain about the lack of bacon on the dog. Here's the way I'll explain it: after laying my eyes on this thing, which looked glorious and raised my taste buds expectation to a place which triggered my salivary glands to kick into "high gear, putting the dog down to complain and get a slice of bacon to add to it post first bite just wouldn't do. That anticipated magical first bite, would never be the same.

Shared between myself and brother: The Pig and The Fig, Das Brat, onion rings, tater tots, side sauces of garlic aioli, and chipotle aioli. The sliced almonds on the Pig and Fig are a great extra touch. It was an excellent sausage. The sweetness of all the ingredients served a bit sweet to me but it's doesn't take away from the greatness that is the Pig...and Fig. The Das Brat is more basic with the onions that are caramelized, american cheese, kraut, and mustard. The blend of everything just melted into my mouth like butter. I prefer this sausage over the the Pig&Fig but that's just me. The Hawaiian bread roll is the perfect amount of sweetness for me. First time trying the onion rings. I love that they weren't greasy compared to other restaurants. Along with the tater tots (which are equally delicious), those went well with the garlic and chipotle aioli. As a full grown West Covinian, the wall decor is a great homage to the city. I have a feeling that coming here for lunch is going to become part of my Sunday routine.

The first word that comes to mind when thinking of these enormous foodporn-worthy dogs is: "Ridiculous." The next word is "Delicious." Together these bad boys make one ridiculously delicious smorgasbord of a meal. The lack of five stars is the obvious fact that it's also heart attack-inducing food, so for Foodie Heaven's sake, take it easy, bring your antacid pills, and be sure to hit the gym within the next 2 days. Right off the bat, I have to say these guys made the superb choice of using Hawaiian bread rolls instead of regular hot dog buns for their hot dogs, so you not only have that extra cushion to keep all the goodness together, but it lends an air of sweetness to the meal, giving it a well-rounded balance of flavors. My favorite is the Scott Baioli, and as the name suggests, it's a hot dog made with garlic aioli, smoked bacon, melted American cheese, & caramelized onions. It's an explosion of flavors & textures in your mouth. Can you say, "Foodgasm?" Another true winner here, are their Chili Cheese Tater Tots. While there's nothing particularly unique about them beyond the fact that they're basically chili cheese fries in tater tot form, they add a nice salty, cheesy kick to your already enormous meal. Were I you, I would ask for extra chives on the side, as they give it a nice crunchy texture & delicious flavor to balance out the chili cheese portion. They also serve regular fries if tater tots aren't your thing. The menu is super unique, the portions are quite hefty, and everything they serve is delicious. Believe it or not, even vegetarians are made welcome here, as they have three- hear that? THREE- different veggie dogs, including a veggie applewood-smoked "bacon" dog, and even a veggie patty if you're hankering for a burger, instead. Service is super sweet & helpful, and the atmosphere is always hoppin.' Super fun place to come hang out.

Came by with a couple of friends for a last minute dinner. Seating was really bad. We came by on a Friday night, which I can get. But trying to find seating for three people can be a pain, so plan accordingly. I'm not a fan of hot dogs in general, so I opted for a sausage. I had the Bad Mutha Clucka (chicken fontina sausage, sun dried tomato aioli, basil and crispy onions between Hawaiian buns). The chicken fontina sausage was moist and flavorful. However, everything else was underwhelming. I couldn't taste the sun dried tomato aioli. The basil seemed more of like a decoration, and the crispy onions were meh. I'd probably be a happy camper if I could have just the sausage by itself. I also got to try my friend's cheese tots. Pretty lackluster. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the food or service. It's really a 2-star place, but I gave an additional star because they had Hangar 24 available.

Yup, new spot to quench my hot dog cravings. Definitely worth the try. Had the downtown dog and the old town dog. The old town dog is very spicy so I only recommend it for the hot heads or the courageous. But it was very delicious. The tater tots are a great side.

Motley Bleu 2.0 is pretty damn good! I loved that the bunnies actually 4 King's Hawaiian rolls, which I cut into quarters. Great flavor combo with the sweet bun, juicy burger, Sriracha, and Bleu cheese. Tots were average -- nothing mind blowing. Fries were a bit better.

Awesome tasting hot dogs! Been here twice and have not been disappointed. My favorite dog so far has to be the little leaguer right now..the chili, cheese, onions, and frito chips on top of a plump juicy hot dog...amazeballs! I'm a sucker for tator tots and this place fries up some tasty tots! These crispy little pillows of potato are perfect when dipped in their curry ketchup. Just a slight hint of spice with classic tomato ketchup. Yum!

Service was great, the food was on point & the environment was nice. Great place to be at on a Sunday afternoon. Everything about this place deserves 5 stars. Both the Hot Dogs & Fries are delicious. If you're looking for a spot to try some new food, come here. Definitely a nice gem that I found. My girl loved it as well.

Dog Haus is great! I've been to other locations before and it is pretty much the same taste and flavors here. The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy. Parking is open during off-times, but since it is adjacent to 85 degree bakery and Guppy House, it can get packed. My suggestions: Holy Aioili, Scott Baioli, Old Town Dog, Downtown Dog and with tots! The only thing I wish this location had was the pumps for the curry ketchup.

I have only been to this location and the one in Pasadena. They're about the same size, but this location has better parking. Overall, the staff was nice and courteous. The cashier gave good recommendation. I had the Sooo Cali and the Old Town. Both were great hot dogs that were tasteful. The Sooo Cali having that aioli sauce and the Old Town being wrapped in bacon. The hot dogs are about $5.99 each but they don't come with anything. Not a bad price really. I believe to add a side of fries or tots it is $1.50.

Mouthwateringly Delicous!! Awesome place if you're ever craving hot dogs or hamburgers. Best thing my coworker recommended. Restaurant is somewhat small, not great for huge groups since there's limited seating..unless you get those bar like tables to the side. Wait was about 10 minutes, unfortunately can't call ahead to order my food which I'm not to fond of. Main menu is packed with hamburgers, hot dogs, & saugages. They showcase varieties of meat (Esp veggie patties) I ordered the downtown dog and the ringer. Both are amazing!! I love the idea they use Hawaiian bread on all their creations. Definetely going back to taste the Little Mule and the Frieburger.

Mmm... Kids Meal is not worth the price. Rather too expensive. The Hungover was not so special. It's like "I had better" moment. The place seems busy and running though. Hawaiian bread is ok if you like sweet/salty. Patty was rather "mmmm". Probably stick with hot dogs or sausages. The cashier girl was friendly and nice.

Love the concept -- fancy hot dogs with all sorts of toppings sandwiched between Hawaiian sweet bread. That all sounds amazing! But somehow together, it just didn't mesh for me. I think there was a little too much bread in the end -- I wanted to taste more of the dog & toppings. I got the Old Town which came with jalapenos and cotija cheese, and the flavors were really good. BF got the Socali which came with avocado and fried onions -- it was messy! And the avocado felt out of place for some reason. Maybe if it were mashed instead of sliced? We also got cheesy tots, and would order them just regular next time. The cheese was...too much? Not sure what it was, but it was just off. We also asked for curry ketchup but pretty sure they just brought us regular ketchup :\ Not sure if I'd come back...it was good, but not really something I'd crave. Definitely worth a try though -- I might want to try their burgers, but I think the sweetness of the bread just doesn't do it for me.

Food is delicious!!! Came here on a friday night about 30 minutes before closing. Ordered the scott baioli hot dog and the cheese tots. Both were really good. Amazing flavors. The hawaiian bun made the whole hot dog worth it. The tots were a little soggy but the cheese on top of it made up for it. Waited only 5 minutes to order and about 10 minutes to make the food. Overall i liked my experience here. The only 1 flaw i dont like is that its a very small place. They have about 5 or 6 tables and there is 4 rows of bar like seating. Id definitely be back!

I've been a fan of Dog Haus ever since I tried the one in Alhambra. The dogs, sausages, and burgers are all very unique and tasty, and the use of King's Hawaiian bread puts it over the top. I also love the fact they play cool 80s music all day. There are enough house creations to make your decision difficult but you can also create your own. I never tried creating my own because every single house creation I tried have been pretty much spot on. PIg and the Fig is my favorite so far with its perfect balance of sweet and salty. Old Town Dog is a close second for its spicy heat coming from roasted jalapenos. Sooo Cali has a good overall flavor and adds some uniqueness with wild arugula and spicy basil aioli. Another Night in Bangkok has good Thai fusion flavors with spicy Thai red currywurst, peanut sauce, Asian slaw, and crushed peanuts. I also tried the Haus Special for month of November which is Plymouth Rockwürst. This thing is gluttony at its best with turkey/duck/chicken (aka turducken) sausage with whiskey soaked cranberries and yams, topped off with sage gravy, sweet potato tots, and cran-apple mostarda. I liked the overall flavor, even though it tasted little too sweet toward the end. I think I would've liked it better if it had more of a pickled flavor to the cran-apple mixture to break up some of the sweetness. My rating for this place is one star less than the Alhambra location because of the poor layout and lack of condiments. The condiment stand is much smaller than the Alhambra location and only has about half of what the other location has. I don't need every single condiment but I was disappointed this location doesn't have curry ketchup or house relish, which are two condiments I always get at the Alhambra location. The space isn't as cramped as I thought but line formation can become a challenge when there are more than maybe 10 people in line. The line can either go out the door or extend into the middle of seating area. Maybe the owners didn't anticipate such a large crowd at this location. This area is somewhat deprived of good dining options so a place like this would certainly draw a crowd. Even at 11:15 a.m. the place was nearly packed, and by 11:45 a.m. all the tables were taken. I think there are enough tables and bar stools to accommodate about 30 to 35 people at most. Since I live close by I will definitely come back here but I will never come during peak lunch hours or weekend nights.

I was impressed everything was good! We had the burger with mushrooms and cheese and a garlic aioli. It was tasty! I just feel like they over do it with too much toppings and I love me my toppings! So next time Forsure easy on the toppings! My husband got a hotdog he liked it, but again I thought they over did it in the toppings so you can't actually taste the meat! Will I come back! Definitely

This place is kinda pricey for a hot dog. I got two downtown dogs and tots. Everything about this place was good the bun was nice and soft (sounds kinda weird saying that) and the winnie was good (wtf this sounds freaking weird!!). Tots were just just tots but they do taste better than your elementary school cafeteria tots. But still paying ~$7 for a hot dog kinda kills me. I need two to fill up but they are good. Everybody is really nice at this joint so that I do like specially since it is a new location. I probably won't make priority to come because of their prices although their quality of food is good but I will return if I am craving a good hot dog.

I came here for dinner about a week after the grand opening (late review, I know). This place was PACKED! The line went all the way to the door and all the tables and chairs were taken. When one party left their table, I pounced at it and left my boyfriend in line to order our food (yay for teamwork!). I had the Sooo Cali dog which had wild arugula, spicy basil aioli, crispy onions, avocado, and tomato. It looked smaller than I thought it would be but it was quite filling. The taste of the arugula was extremely overpowering for me, so I took those out halfway into eating my dog. I could've used more spicy basil aioli on mine because it was really tasty. The hawaiian bread bun made it extra good since I am a heeeuuuggeee fan of hawaiian bread. I also got plain tater tots and it really took me back to when I was in elementary school. Those crispy crunchy little fried potatoes are just irresistible. My boyfriend got the Scott Baioli dog and it was awesome! Yes I had some lol. I think I might get that one next time instead. He also had the Freiburger, which was messy because of the egg but according to him it was tasty. I'm not into eating eggs with my burgers but if you're into that, more power to ya. You can, however, add an egg for $1 to anything if you're REALLY into that. We split a Love Boat made with french fries, chili and slaw... I don't recommend it. The flavors were conflicting, in my opinion, and there was just way too much going on. I think they were trying to be different with this one, which they were, but it flopped for me. We barely ate any of it and had to throw it away. In other reviews from different locations, I read that they had a condiment bar with the various sauces up for grabs. This location did not have that on the day I visited, so ketchup was my only condiment. The workers here seemed in a rush and lacked in the customer service department at first. Once the night started quieting down, one of the workers approached our table and asked us how our meal went. They were super busy, so I understand, but it kind of made the whole environment seem very crazy and rushed. I highly highly highly recommend you go during slow hours (midday) unless you don't mind waiting almost 30 minutes for your food (plus waiting 20 minutes to order). Also, though I claimed a table for my own use, I had to basically fake cough these other people who rudely sat like it was their own to go away. I acted like a had a cough and I never covered my mouth, grossing them out enough to step away. With the Ebola scares going on worldwide, this could definitely work to your advantage if you're faced with a similar situation :) moral of the story, respect others' tables and enjoy your dogs at your own!

Dog Haus! WOOF! DOG HAUS is the type of place you show to your friends that you don't hype up, THEN COMPLETELY BLOW THIS MINDS. This was the case for me at least. I went to this place expecting something like Pink's or Nathan's, something a bit generic but good tasting nonetheless. When we got our food it was like nothing I expected! I ordered a burger the Holy Aioli which was richest, juiciest burger I've had in so very long. The thing that makes this burger of course is the bun. The sweet Hawaiian bread is a staple of the restaurant and is used in mostly all the burgers and dogs. It is the perfect contrast to. The beautiful savory meat and cheese. Also the tots. Whoa. Sonic has nothing on these tots. Mother of God. Enjoy your burger, or dog.

Hangover exceeded my expectations! Would definitely come back here. The bread and house chili are heavenly. Great job!

This place has been on my bookmark (different location though) for so long. Can you imagine my excitement when I found out one was opening so close to home?! I finally went this past sunday & my oh my was it great. I stalked the menu at home before I went so I knew exactly what I wanted. (I'm not the only one that does that right? look at the menu before i actually get there? lol) I ordered: 1 Little Leaguer, 1 slider-sized corn dog and cheesy tots. Yes, that's a lot of food but at the time - i didn't care. It took a while to get our food but I appreciate the fact that its cooked right then & there. Lets start w/the little leaguer. AMAZE-BALLS. The hawaiian bun is literally my favorite thing ever. The chili was perfect, the hotdog itself was a good size (that's what she said...) & the fritos was the perfect topping. The corn dog however did not exceed my expectation - maybe because i let it sit for a while so it was a bit soggy and VERY oily when i ate it. The tots were delicious. Although since there was so much cheese - it did get all soggy and messy. Seating arrangement isn't too great - there's not that many tables/chairs inside but I do believe there are places to sit along the outside of the plaza? not too sure. I'm definitely coming back soon to try something different.

Oooh, so dangerous for me now since this one opened so close to me and now I won't have to go to the Pasadena location if I'm in the mood for their tater-tots and hot dogs. This time I tried the Scott Baioli (white cheese, caramelized onions, smoked bacon, and garlic aioli), very tasty with their hawaiian bread that they use. I also got the combo add-on with tater-tots and a drink for $2.99. It was not as crispy as the other places but still tasty. Place is tiny compared to the Alhambra and Pasadena locations. At least they have a good parking lot here. Inside, they only have two tables but 3 long ones that you will usually have to share tables with strangers like in Pasadena. Plus, this location is a bit different with that you need to ask over the counter for their curry ketchup or bbq sauce that they have but it's usually next to the soda fountain in the Pasadena location. The people here are nice, the guy who helped me get the bbq and curry ketchup was quick since I didn't know that you had to ask now to get their other sauces since they only have mustard and ketchup near the drinking fountain. There's a $0.65 charge to get their aioli sauces that they make. The place was kinda clean but they tried to keep on top of it. They take card.

Holy no-place-to-sit, Batman! We wanted to give Dog Haus a second chance, since I didn't love it my first time (see reviews). It was last Sunday, at around 4:30, and the place was ridiculously packed and people were leaning against walls, blocking the entrance, blocking the doors to the restrooms, just waiting for their orders. It was pretty ridiculous. The 3 stars is for the food. I ordered a different dog and it was very tasty. We ordered two dogs, one fry and one tots. We weren't fully satisfied so we were still a little hungry, but food-wise, they did redeem themselves. The cashier wasn't very welcoming and the lack of seating made for a meh visit. Hopefully our next visit improves.

Seriously this place is so awesome!!! I bought 2 Groupons and they let me use both tonight. I was able to treat my friend and her family with it as well as using one for myself. Highly recommend!!!

Well I give it a 1 star for good soda selection. 1. If I have to tell you I want my Tatter tots well done I expect them to be so hot that they burn my mouth. -1 cold tots 2. Had the Ringer Burger ... More of a buzz kill nasty too much BBQ sauce my burger was so soggy I couldn't even finish it. -2 3. Th downtown dog I can buy a better dog in DTLA for a better price.-3 4. I ordered the cheese on the side for my tots thank goodness the cheese was hot for 5 mins then it got all hard like when you don't stir the nacho cheese that is left Ina crock pot gross -4 Will I be back again ummmmm no I will take myself to IN N OUT down the street they never let me down. I expected a lot from this place and was disappointed.

One bite in on the Grand Slam and Little League, I'm in heaven. Tots are absolutely amazing!! This place really is a home run, If you're looking for an amazing dog, albeit at a relatively high price, this is really the place to be. Would I come back? Yes, but not too often due to price!

Summary: Yum!!! Details: First time here! There was NO LINE! :D (Went around 5:30pm during the week.) Wasn't sure what to order, they had quite a bit of options. I was going to order a hot dog, but I was really craving a burger..so I went with the Ava Maria burger (it had mushrooms and caramelized onions in it. I just added lettuce and ranch..) The Verdict: DELICIOUS!! It came on those yummy Hawaiian bread rolls (As you can see in the pictures other people have posted.) It was easy to eat since I just cut up my burger into four. So I turned my burger into little burger sliders and it was so good! I spent like 7 bucks and some change. Not bad at all. I just got a water and decided to try the fries next time. After eating my whole burger, I was very satisfied. I'm glad I didn't get the fries because I don't know how I would of been able to finish all the food without going into a food coma. This place is pretty awesome,I can't wait to go back and try out their hot dog!

They use Hawaiian bread, so good! Got The Fonz, The Old town and chili cheese tater tots it's really good. Also they have good deal on groupon $16 for 2 hotdog and 2beer, not bad. Definitely coming back.

I would recommend to try this place. The parking lot is spacious, which is always a plus. I would recommend trying the chili cheese tater tots. If you are a picky eater, you can build your own or choose from the preselected items. As far as portion size, one hot dog and the tots did not fill me up, so for the amount you get, I consider it kinda pricey. The seating arrangement is a little odd to me. I think they could have put in a lot more seating if they designed it differently. I had to wait about 3-5 minutes for seating.

I heard of the Dog Haus for a long time, but I was not able to go. I was super excited when a good friend invited me. Many people have really given their thumbs up about this place, so my expect ions were pretty high. Though, I have to say I was underwhelmed. However, I like their concept of taking the sausage and hot dogs home to cook. That bumped up the review to 3 stars. When you first walk in you get a contemporary vibe. The line partition to the left where you order seems like a great idea, however, it seems unnecessary and makes the place look smaller than it is. They have a refrigerated case that held raw sausages and dogs you can take home. The concept is a really good one, but the set-up does make the space look cramped. You don't really know why the case is there unless you ask. At first glance, new comers may think, "oh cool! I can pick the sausage". I ordered the Holy Aioli with egg. I really was not impressed. It was an Angus beef patty on Hawaiian bread with cheese, caramelized onions and garlic aioli. It seems like a good idea, BUT if you get caramelized onions and a sweet bread, it is a bit of over kill in your mouth. I always believed good food should have balance in taste and texture. This burger totally failed. The burger was one dimensional. Perhaps, I am partial about beef. Wagyu and angus aren't the same, so I can taste the difference ( the explanation why I am partial to wagyu is irrelevant to this review). However, it changes the review. The taters tot were the star of my Dog Haus experience. Now, if they seasoned it, perhaps I would be compelled to give them one more star, because I love fried potato. Service. The service was awesome. She was friendly and personable.

Stopped by for the Cowboy hotdog. They make the hot dogs in house. My order had American cheese, BBQ sauce, crispy onions, and smoked bacon. They use King's Hawaiian sweet bread for the rolls and it was served with tater tots!!! Woo hoo!!! If you want to try something out of the ordinary, you've got to be in the Dog Haus

Came here for the first time this weekend and man was the food delicious! My girlfriend ordered the hangover burger which was a lot bigger than expected, along with the chili cheese fries! Both looked great but I can't review the taste since I didn't eat it. However, I got old town dog and the pig in the fig. Both were huge! The Hawaiian bread was a delicious alternative to the traditional hot dog bun. The old town was really good, only problem is that it's just a little too heavy on the spicy mayo for my liking. The pig in the fig also had the same issue for me of over saucing but overall delicious with cheese tater tots! This is a great spot to eat with a chill environment, but be warned the space to eat inside is very limited. Will come back and try a burger next time!

My friend and I came here a few months ago and I have no intentions of ever returning. I ordered the breakfast hot dog with a side of tater tots. The tots were alright. I mean they weren't anything to go out of your way for. The major letdown was the hotdog. The actual dog was comparable to those cheap ones you can get at the 99 cents store. The ones that if you leave out in the refrigerator, they get that nasty film over it. Basically they skimp out on quality and use chicken in their dogs. I grew up having to eat those kinds of hotdogs, so to eat it as an adult was completely stomach churning. The toppings were alright at best, it's totally something you can make at your house though... Giving this place 2 stars for the tots I guess, but other than that; I'd stay away from here.

Before I write a great review about this place, I have to say I don't like hot dogs. Never was a fan of them even when I was a kid. But then I tried this place... And loved everything I tried! (I've been back a couple times already) the dogs are made with various kinds of meats and topped with unique toppings. And, the buns are made out of Hawaiian bread! They also have tots. I ordered chilly cheese tots on the side with my hot dog. It was delicious. I did have to share them because they give you a very good amount, like one of those cartons(?) they give you at baseball games or something. The dogs can get a little messy though! I needed a lot of napkins. There is also a longer wait when it gets busy as expected. But it was totally worth it :) One thing that this venue lacks is enough seating. There are limited tables for parties up to 4 or maybe 6 smaller people. But it has never been too much of an issue.

I bought a groupon deal for $16. Two sausages and two beers. The good, they had a lot of sausage options and had a chicken one for me. They let us build our own sausage but some were considered extra. I ordered the chicken fontina sausage with garlic aioli mayo, mustard, and white american. My friend had the Fonz with the spicy Italian sausage, pastrami, and melted mozzarella cheese. Overall, we both liked our meals. I will say even $16 is a little much for what it is. Ive been to other hot dog places and liked it better. BTW, their hot dog buns are Hawaiian rolls. Not really buns.

Despite its best efforts, Der Wienerschnitzel hasn't been able to kill off hot dog-centric eating establishments. This place offers a pretty good assortment of different types of sausages, so you are bound to find something to your liking. There were 2 things that I really liked about this place: 1) Instead of traditional buns, they used King's Hawaiian rolls. Genius. However came up with that idea deserves a raise. 2) They serve tater tots. It's been years since I've had some, and I forgot just how damn good they are. The thing that keeps them from a perfect 5 stars is their seating arrangement. If you are unable to get one of the few tables in this joint, then you are going to have to sit at a communal table with others, because there just isn't enough seats to go around.

Sloppy today Dog Haus! Very Sloppy!!! I came in at 1 pm today and wanted to try one of your sausages. I ordered the Bad Motha Clucka. The young lady who brought it out to where I was sitting seemed like she was embarrassed to serve it and quickly scurried back to the kitchen after dropping it off. I uploaded a photo of what was served to me. It looks NOTHING like the Bad Motha Clucka on the Dog Haus website. First off, no crispy round onion slices like shown on their website. There were onion FLAKES poorly thrown on by someone who clearly didn't care. They were thrown on haphazardly and were not even centered properly on the sausage. Why would I want flaky onion residue thrown off to the side of my bun? Who would want that? Very disappointing. Very sloppy. Taste was ok (tomato aioli and basil were a little underwhelming), but I really couldn't get past the careless presentation, it bothered me greatly. Don't get lackadaisical on your quality control. A big part of the Dog Haus experience is how awesome the food looks when it arrives. Today lacked the awesome factor big time. Gotta knock down a few stars. I've had much better here before. I hope my next time will be better. Hopefully this is just a one-off incident. I really wanted to give you a five star review for your sausage too, to make my review trifecta complete (burger, hot dog, and sausage). Maybe next time.

When I found out they opened a Dog Haus in West Covina in the same plaza. I realized that I can save 15 minutes by going to this location! Interesting tidbit, I noticed that Dog Haus is usually near or next to a 85 degrees. Pretty convenient. This location has a different vibe that the Biergarten. It is a lot smaller, and has more of a restaurant feel. You don't get the same vibe here and you not as inclined to get a beer here than at the Biergarten. The place small as couple a small and large tables. The restrooms are clean and has one stall for each sex. The quality of the food is about the same as at the Biergarten. The Freiburger here is the same great quality; however, when I decided to double my meat, the burger fell apart at the seams. I've also tried the Ava Maria and although it tasted great, especially with the fresh mushrooms, I felt that it paled in comparison to the Freiburger. The fries and the tater tots here taste great. One inclusion here that they didn't have at the Biergarten was the different selection of mustard condiments, ranging from honey mustard to hot mustard. A pleasant surprise. The service overall is pretty good. I had no problems with waiting for my food. Overall, this place is a solid 4.5 stars. The vibe from the place is different than the Biergarten, and although it isn't bad, if I'm not lazy I would prefer to go to the Biergarten.

We had driven past Dog Haus several times, and every time my boyfriend said, "I want to try that." Finally had the chance last weekend and we were both pleasantly surprised. Being new, in a renovated plaza, the dining room is clean and modern. They have a glass sausage display with the different offerings and fancy bottled sodas (just like Wurstkuche as Kat O said). Boyfriend ordered a cowboy pastrami dog and I ordered their take on a bacon-wrapped danger dog with tots with cheese and O-rings. The dogs were great and the sides were mediocre. If you can get past the $7 hot dog price and skip the sides, it would be a solid revisit.

I had tried the dog haus in Alhambra last year, and was a bit bummed that it's kind of a drive for me (about 30 minutes) since it was so good. I had no idea one opened up near home until I saw a Groupon listed. I snatched it up, and headed on over there. The place is a bit small, with not a whole lot of seating. When I walked in at 6 pm on a Saturday night, the line was out the door and no seating was available. Thankfully though, by the time we ordered two seats had opened up. I ordered the "Another Night in Bangkok" (which I'd had in Alhambra). Just as delicious as I'd remembered it: spicy from the curry, crunch from the peanuts. The person I was with grabbed a Pig and the Fig. It was pretty good, but had just a bit too much of the fig jelly on for my tasting. The sausage itself was one of the best I'd had, and I felt that the jelly overpowered the sausage just a bit. I'd like to keep going back until I try everything on their menu, but I worry that I can't help but getting the Another Night in Bangkok each time because it's just so dang good. The beer selection is decent, craft beer. About 4 or 5 different kinds. Oh and I recommend the chili cheese tater tots, I haven't had them yet but they looked oh so amazing as everyone else around me had them.

Good but so bad for you food. Had the sooo Cali, also tried Ava Maria and mutha clucka. I'll definitely come back, just not every month. The good: cool concept for some fancy hot dogs and sausages. My favorite was the Soo Cali. The flavors worked really well together, a hearty hot dog stuffed with fresh arugula, avo, tomatoes topped off with creamy aoli and fried onions. I also tried the mutha clucka which is a chicken sausage stuffed with fontina cheese, a bit salty but okay overall. The Ava Maria was a delicious burger, with mushrooms and caramelized onions and cheese. Super greasy that soaked through the Hawaiian rolls. Eating a quarter of that burger is enough to make you feel like you've clogged most of your major arteries. The bad: fat and calories duh The ugly: It is messy to eat and there isn't an elegant way to eat any of these hot dogs or burgers. Probably not the ideal place to take someone on a first date, unless watching someone getting grease and sauce all over themselves is a turn on :)

Good to visit when you have earned an "unhealthy" hot dog by running walking and cutting calories. This place has a variety of hot dogs sausages sandwiches and fries. All good but full of fat and calories. If you are one to count calories, dont do it here. Just enjoy it with two hands as they give you a good size dog and plenty of fries!

Dog haus is hands down a 5 out of 5. I've tried a few items from the menu. The burgers and hot dogs are unique and flavorful. The ringer (cheeseburger with bbq, cheddar cheese, smoked bacon and onion rings) was the first thing I had from here. I was a bit skeptical about trying a burger with a fried egg, but it's heaven. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. The Hawaiian rolls give the burgers and hotdogs a sweet taste that's simply irresistible. Try the hot dogs too. Choose your side of onion rings, tater tots or French fries. Always worth the wait. Prices are reasonable. Staff is very friendly. Definitely the absolute würst.

Wow. Just Wow. I knew what to expect because a whole bunch of my friends has been posting up pictures of Dog Haus eats all over social media. I knew I had to stop by a try it. I dont think you can go wrong with any of the items on the menu. There's so many unique choices I think you would have to come here multiple times to try them out. I got the Old Town Dog but I made it Wurst (that means you can sub your hotd dog for a longer pastrami dog). I also got chili cheese tots as part of the combo. The bill was around $15.00 but it was $15.00 well spent. The Old Town Dog was spicy but spicy in a good way. The chili on the tots was excellent but the cheese was a bit heavy and salty for me. Next time I'll just get chili with the tots. Service was very professional, friendly, and the manager came out and checked on every customer.

Old Town Dog, ok (mushy) taste...onions & jalapenos are over caramelized making then soggy...BUT the whole thing together is tasty! Same thing with the Downtown Dog...mushy...nothing beats a real hotdog from a person yelling, "hotdog, hotdog hotdog!" Coming out of most LA venues My hubby did enjoy the The Freiburger. Lots of food!

I always look forward to Dog Haus! Used a Groupon for 4 dogs & 4 pints of beer. I was able to substitute the beers for any drink on their menu (I got a bottled root beers) & I was happy to find out I was able to substitute the 4 dogs for anything on their menu as well! The owner of this Dog Haus is very nice and he rang us up tonight. Dog Haus never disappoints! Definitely coming back :) The Scott Baioli is my fave!

LOTS OF SAUSAGES. Choose between Haus dog (beef dog), Haus sausage (different ones written in description, or Haus burger (angus beef). The dogs come in a crafty 3 Hawaiian roll hot dog bun while the burgers are 4 Hawaiian rolls in a square. Trust me, the Hawaiian buns are so much better than hot dog buns. Super soft and slightly sweet make them taste so good when toasted. Old Town Dog - bacon wrapped, roasted jalapeños, awesome spicy sauces on it. Full of flavor and punch. Really recommend. The Pig Lebowski - polish kielbasa. Fries, slaw, bbq which wasn't as good as the old town but still pretty good. Fries add some crunch to it. Practically needed to forklift it out of the cole slaw depths. Cheese tots - side, nice cheesy tots to snack on but we were too full to finish it Friendly service, lots of juicy wieners, and very reasonable prices ($5.99 for a dog and $6.99 for a sausage). So much more to try, definitely coming back!

Good drunky food. I only had one of their hot dogs, but the cool thing is instead of using a regular bun, they use hawaiian rolls. Their dogs are so gooddddd.

Absolutely delicious !! Was kinda skeptical at first, after all, a hot dog is still a hot dog but hugged by the soft and sweet Kings Hawaiian Bread ?! EVEN BETTER !! Ordered 3 and a side of tots with chili and cheese. Chili Cheese Tots: Crispy and warm tots drizzled with all meat chili and cheese. Was so filling and enough for 2 to share. Tae Kwon Do dog: could've done without the egg but the Kim chi complimented the hot dog well. Sooo Cali dog: Refreshing !! The avocado, tomatoe and aioli were absolutely delicious. Old Town dog: my fave !! This spicy dog hits the back of your throat, unlike a hot sauce that just coats your mouth. Every bite made me want to take a bigger bite. Only downside is that it's small. If you sit on stools, you can literally hear the convos directly across from you. Glad they came to plaza !!

Stopped by here after a friend recommended it. Got The Pig And The Fig with a side order of table tots. Sausage was cooked to perfection with a nice snap to the casing, fig relish really put it over the top. Tater tots were good and crispy. Be sure to try their curry ketchup!

One of the best place to eat hot dogs if not the best place to eat period. The place is always crowded so it's probably gonna be hard to find a seat inside during peak hours. You can choose from varieties of hot dogs, sausages, or burgers. I got the Scott Baioli hot dog and it was amazing. You can upgrade your hot dog to a pastrami hot dog which I did and the dog was a foot long. You can also make your burgers double patty if you choose to do so. Make your hot dog better by getting the fries or tots which their goodies on top. You can't go wrong with your choices here at the Dog Haus. I would definitely come back because it's so close. You would do the same after eating here.

Service is fast. It may be a bit too fast. Where they forget about us. Like my friend's order. Never do that to him when he's hungry. It's like taking a steak and dangling it in front of a bear. Three of us ordered and food came out at a different times. I ordered a chili cheese burger and the girls suggested tots. I said make them extra crispy. They came out real soft and cold. And the order was really small. Maybe 10 tots at most in a little paper crate half the size of In N Out's crate that holds fries. My friends order came up at least 15 minutes later when we are all done eating. And his food was just average. Lots of people that were behind us got their orders before he got his. Where you go to refill the drinks is crowded with people at the tables which is too close to the drinks. . There's water all over the floor and drinks over the floor as well. Then people have to go between the area to get drinks and tables to get to the restroom. The place is too small to accommodate all these people. They should put some outside tables or build a small patio.. It was so crowded that People were standing along the wall eating. The same wall that people are standing in line to order food. This place is so so so very small. I'd give it another try. But I'll wait till there's a lot less people

the Law's Verdict: Gourmet hot dogs in a great hangout atmosphere with great prices. Must visit! Food: Uniquely seasoned dogs and burgers on Hawaiian bread buns! Think gourmet hot dogs with a twist. This was my first visit to a Dog Haus, and I can see why they deserve all this foodie buzz. They've ingeniously recreated the hot dog and burger by using soft Hawaiian bread as buns, and the portions are big enough for a meal. Here was my thought process once I got my dog: 1) wow so beautiful, 2) this tastes unreal, and 3) damn I'm so full. Cost: Surprisingly affordable! The dogs and burgers are priced for great value, and the tater tots are cheap enough that you can indulge in them without feeling guilty. Definitely worth your money and your time hanging out with friends. Service: Quick and friendly! Gourmet hot dogs were a foreign idea to me, and the service team was very friendly in explaining the different menu options to me. They made good recommendations, and my food came out quickly after ordering. Would I come back: Definitely! Sometimes I daydream about my next Sooo Cali dog... Bonus tip: Easy parking in the plaza. Chili cheese tots were amazing but be prepared to have leftovers since the portion is huge!

Too many selections to choose. We went there both starving and decided on a Scott Baioli dog and a Grand Slam plus an order of chili cheese tater tots. The Scott Baioli was delicious, with garlic aioli, bacon, and crispy onions on a juicy dog. The bun was buttery and toasty, really satisfied a craving for something hearty. The chili cheese tots were rich and gooey from the cheese and covered in chili and scallions. Mmmmmmmmmmmm getting hungry writing this review :3

Came here with high expectations especially when the counter reminded me of how Wurstkuche in Downtown LA is set up, but it was just ok. Same sausage display, same boxed water in the drinks line up, even the same vegetarian smoked apple sausage as Wurstkuche. Great location. Easy to find with plenty of parking. Restaurant space was a bit too small but enough. Great selection of burgers, hot dogs, and sausages. The combinations are endless. They use Hawaiian rolls for their bread and as much as I love their buttery toasted take on buns, I was almost sick to my stomach when I was halfway through my meal. It was just too oily. Water, soda, and beer were not enough to wash it down. Bottom line, it's a novelty to have something like this in Covina so it's worth a visit.

If you are craving hot dogs well this is the place to visit. It's not your ordinary dollar hot dog at Costco or overpriced ball park hot dogs. The dogs here are really flavorful, the bread is different from other places and they go all out on the toppings. The socali was good and most of their dogs are around $6 dollars. I thought the milkshakes were slightly over priced at $5 per cup but maybe it's worth the extra money. I wouldn't mind coming back for a future visit when I'm in the area again.

Not too bad for a hot dog place. Had some interesting stuff on the menu that all sounded mouth watering. But when it touched my mouth it wasn't too amazing though, but I'd come back here for a hot dog that I'm too lazy to make by myself. haha Place was a little dirty on the tables but not too bad. Didn't really bug me, but might be for clean freaks. Staff was friendly with smiles as you walk in. Overall not bad for my first time here

Ok so my fellow yelpers brought me here for dinner tonight and boy is this place a gem!! The menu was a little confusing at first but it wasn't hard to figure out! I ordered the burger with onion rings and BBQ sauce and it was outrageously good! My girlfriend got a burger with chilie cheese and an egg with bacon and boy was that burger something else! We got the tots which were fantastic and the service was great. All around a great experience and I'll defiantly be back to try other menu options!

Well, well, well! I must say, we were very impressed. This place was really good, fast enough for a weeknight dinner, but relaxing enough to sit a bit and have a good beer. The kids got some sliders and tots that were very satisfying to their lil tummies. I got a dog, (I think the old town) & the hubs got the little mule. Everything was great! Will definitely be back.

Pretty good place! It is kind of cramped inside, so I recommend getting a seat first as it is reaping it's new Grand Opening crowd. I got the Sooooo Cali, and it was delicious BUT really really messy. The flavors rocked though, and all the buns are made from the sweet Hawaiian rolls which made for a nice compliment --However, I tried the chili dog my friend got, and the sweet Hawaiian roll tasted weird with the chili. I wish they had different options for buns because while some combinations tasted great with it, there are definitely some that don't. DO get the tater tots, I could eat a wagon full of them :)

This place is amazing! I purchased a groupon and was soon please I drove to West Covina to experience this culinary delight. We both had the sausage dog, Another Night in Bankock. This was a thai curry wurst on a hawaiian bun with Asian slaw, peanut sauce and peanuts. THE FLAVORS WERE UNIQUE and it was pretty messy. We also shared an order of fries and had some more Asian slaw. We also had a beer each : Bootleggers Old World He and an Omegang beer. We can't wait to come back. Keep in mind that this location doesn't have much seating and the place was packed at 230pm. Most people ate and left but we did notice that it gets tough when tables hang out for long periods of time. Try this place out! Hopefully they will expand someday to include more seating

Dog Haus one of my favorite hot dog places. Ive been to all the locations. Other then the fact that Pasadena chooses always to burn my tots. im a happy camper. SoCali dog is amazing. It has a blend of spices and heat that makes it addicting 5/5. I love the onion straws on it. They have a condiment bar which allows me to choose my condiments and salts for my tots. I always get that green spicy sauce. Give it a go!

Soooooooooooo.......... What to get, what to get? Well, I came with a group of friends at 11:00 and we snagged the only low sitting table. The 6 of us decided to each get 2 different items and explore and share the goodness. The service was friendly and fast. I am always amazed that a tip jar exist, when I stand in line to order,I get my own drink, and I bus my own table. The music blasting is old school 80's and it is a bit loud, not really allowing for conversation. The Hot Dogs are big and delicious. My favorite was the Western and the basic corn dog. It's 5.99 a dog, 6.99 for sausage dogs. Sometimes simpler is better and Costco has a dog and drink for 1.50. I came, I saw, I ate......time to find something else

I have been her twice and i had a good experience both time. The food was great and the staff was friendly, the only thing i didn't like is that its always busy and its small in there so no place to sit and eat. Amazing food tho!

Props to their customer service skills. I must have just come on an off day. After my negative experience, I was contacted by the business owner and he offered a steep discount if i'd give them another chance. so why not. Came back yesterday and I got the Pig and the Fig, chilli cheese tater tots and the girlfriend got a Night in Bangkok and sweet potato fries. Management and servers were friendly and helpful. They seemed a bit confused like i was trying to dupe them or something but it worked out in the end. (i mean really, how often does something like this happen?) anyway food came out relatively quickly. Everything looked delicious and was pretty delicious. The Pig and the Fig was a little different than i remembered it... maybe a differing ratio of arugula to sauce? nonetheless i was pleased by my food. tater tots were fantastic as well. super cheesy and chilli-ey and the green onions on top were a nice addition. I enjoyed my girlfriend's Night in Bangkok as well. pleasantly spicy with the peanuts and slaw adding a nice texture. sweet potato fries were good as well. I was happy to notice that they had four different types of mustards... will definitely have to get a corn dog and experiment with those. I wish they'd leave their curry ketchup to be easily accessible but if you ask for it the servers get it to you right away. can't wait to try the tae kwon dog as well... till next time!

Ok this one is tough Doug Haus. Yes Hunny I'm here aaaa gain and yes I'm addicted. I'm a 3rd generation Italian and I hate to say it(forgive lord for I have sinned) don't and never have liked Italian sausage. Boom that's right I said it. Well guess what? Thanks to The Fonz I fell off the wagon. Thanks for the great employee service and world class food. Gave it a 4 since it was sausage and + 1 because your employees rock. Go here or go home. PM

I think this place was okay, not bad but not great. The hot dogs look sooo delicious and makes my mouth water just looking at the pictures on their online menu and on Yelp. However, I think it is overpriced for what it really is. The only great thing about it is that this place has a good variety of sauces for you to choose from for free. We order the Old Town Dog (bacon wrapped dog with caramelized onions, roasted jalapenos, chipotle mayo, and cotija cheese). It was pretty good, but a little too spicy for me. We also got the Das Brat (bratwurst, wholegrain mustard aioli, white american cheese, caramelized onions, and sauerkraut). I wasn't a big fan of the Das Brat, but I might be biased because I don't like sauerkraut. There's nothing special about the fries... but the tater tots were good! It was cooked with the perfect crispiness.

Price- Came out to around 8.70 for a combo meal with any side and a medium drink. Seems a bit too high at first but that all changes after eating. Food- I had the Das Brat which has bratwurst, sauerkraut, grain mustard, and caramelized onions. The mustard and onions complemented the bratwurst perfectly and the acidity from the sauerkraut made everything come together. The concept of gourmet hotdogs is great and after eating the food the price definitely makes sense. Staff- Staff are extremely kind and helpful. Food came out within 8 minutes of ordering and they bring the food to you if you decide to sit down. I would definitely come back and it's worth at least a 25 minute drive.

Who let the dogs out? Luckily West Covina's got a new Haus! (trololollo) Today's selection? The So Cali Dog, Tots, and The Mule Burger According to the GF: The So Cali was good but she's had better from their other signature dogs/sausages. Score - 3.5/5 Tots: Fried to perfection. Wish there were were just a bit more 3-5 more so it would look like you got a solid mound for $2. Score - 4.5/5 The Mule burger: As my friend would say, put a runny egg on everything! You can't go wrong. When it came out, you can see the ooze coming out of it. mmmmMmmm. The beef blended well with the cheese, nice chunk of avocado. At the end, you definitely feel the heavy Hawaiian Bread. 4/5 Setting: Nice - dog hau's like. The place is so new, you can smell the fresh paint still... or whatever that smell is. I can attest with a previous review of the floor being slightly slippery, obviously when there's water on the floor like a busy day today. The GF almost slipped. Overall: The food felt marginally off today today (than the quality over at the other locations but that might be because they were trying to rush things out due to the lines going out the door) and this location could have been 25% bigger to accommodate more indoor seating for the more popular weekends. It's a tough business decision being tucked away in the corner. We'll be back since this is in my hood now. 4 = I'm a fan but then again I've been a fan of Dog Haus (Alhambra/Pasadena) and I'm glad that they've been franchising so we'll be seeing more of these around. Ciao Yelpers!

I went here with my parents and it was a super clean environment. They were welcoming and they have a lot of options and veggie options!! I got the hangover with no bread and they rapped it with lettuce. The have tatter tots and fries and cheese can be added. Overall I was very happy with my food and my dad is really picky and he enjoyed his meal like all of us. Definitely coming back !!

Highly recommended if you are in the area. They have some tasty beer, place is nice, cool atmosphere for lunch. But the dogs themselves are not the greatest, I enjoyed my lunch but just not contest dogs. I am somewhat of a dog connoirseur and the sign of a good dog should be apparent at first bite. It should snap, releasing it's delicious juices and flavor into your waiting tastebuds. The dogs here are presented nicely but sometimes, less is more. The Hawaiian rolls are too much bread for a dog, and yet, I still could discern that these average dogs under the copius toppings. I had the 'Pig Lebowski' and the 'Das Brat'. I really enjoyed them, just saying

I have never had a problem ordering from this location. Service is always great, food comes out (relatively) fast and delicious, and the variety of dogs/burgers/sausages always satisfies even my most picky family members. My only complaint is how cramped it feels inside most days. Perhaps it is the way the tables are set up, with the two long tall tables with an alley in between - It isn't very stroller friendly and that is the biggest reason why we don't come here unless the craving is too strong and it is during non-peak hours.

All you need to know is HOT DOGS, BEER and TATER TOTS. If you are looking for a good less than common chain, then this place is it. With easy to choose menu options, you can not go wrong with this place. I had the Bangkok sausage and my friend got the chili cheese tater tots (Yes, that is correct!) Come here for a quick savoy completely unhealthy spicy and inventive dog and down a beer. Price is on point and the food is flavorful.

Great place if your not feeling the " DER" chain and you want a different flavor of dogs. First off the kids meal is a great portion for kids its choice of two sliders or corn dog or hot dog with fries or tots and a drinks. My son had sliders with fries it must have been good because he killed it. My oldest had the little leaguer a chili dog with Fritos he took it out of the park. The wife had another night in Bangkok she says she wants to go back, it taste like a spring roll with peanut sauce to me. I had the Das Braut knockwaurst sausage with sauerkraut, grilled onions, brown mustard aioli and cheese. For me you can Das boot the cheese but it was very good like all the dogs you need lots of napkins. Last thing the onion rings were very good. Take a bite of the ring and unlike other rings the whole onion doesn't come out of the batter. We'll be back for sure to try something else on the menu you should too.

Perfectly cooked hot dogs with a variety of gourmet and classic toppings on a slightly-crisped Hawaiian bread bun. Highly recommend the combo of blue cheese and garlic aioli with fig onions.

Am I strange for liking the burgers more than their hotdogs? The Mötley Blu is probably one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. It gets a little messy since they use the perforated Hawaiian buns, but nonetheless I recommend this burger to everyone. This is my first time visiting the West Covina location, the Old Pasadena one is a lot better in my opinion because it's a good place to eat after a long night of drinking.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon. It was my first time here. I asked the server what was the most popular hot dog customers ordered, and I was told it was the Downtown Dog. I also asked what was the most popular sausage that customers ordered, and I was told it was the Fonz. Downtown Dog: After one bite of that hot dog, I realized the server was absolutely WRONG. The Downtown Dog had way too much cheese that it drowned all the other flavors out. I could barely taste the hot dog and the bacon. I seriously felt like all I was tasting was melted cheese. One thing to note about the hot dogs made here is that they are not on your typical standard hot dog buns. They put the dogs on Hawaiian bread. For me, it doesn't really add to the taste. I'm there for the meat, not the bread. The Fonz: Now this was delicious. The ratio of all of the flavors were just right. Nothing was drowned out. I could taste all the dressings on the sausage: the ketchup, the mustard, and the mayonnaise. It almost felt like I was eating a burger. This is what really made my experience here enjoyable. I also had onion rings, but it's like any typical onion ring you might order. It could either be battered or deep fried. Either way, it was also tasty. I luckily came here on a day that wasn't too busy. I hear this place is pretty popular, so it can be hard to obtain seating. However, I came with a group of 5, and we were all able to sit together. The price of this place is a little bit on the pricy side for me. The quality and taste of their dogs do not reflect their price. I don't think I would pay $9-$10 for a hot dog that was drowned out by cheese. The next time I come back, I am going to try their burgers. Being a burger enthusiast, I look forward to my next visit. Downtown Dog: 2/5 The Fonz: 5/5 Price: 3/5 Environment: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Overall, Dog Haus deserves 3 stars out of 5.

I have driven past this place a few times on my way home from school and finally decided to check it out. small place, but very home-y. I ordered The Fonz, being a big fan of pastrami I was sort of forced to order it. My first opinion on it was that it was sort of jammed into the bun. Which did eventually lead to it falling apart. BUT this did not hinder on the fact that overall taste wise, it was delicious. I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because the girl who took my order was sort of rude and didn't not seem to want to be there. I'd recommend this place if you are hungry for a good hot dog or burger.

So glad that Yelp helped us to this place! First of all, we loved the food! He had a hot dog and I had a burger so we had the best of both worlds I like the unique menu and the choices of sauces like curry ketchup delicious on my burger! I hear they're opening one in Vegas I can't wait! My only pet peeve is as that it was so damn cold I felt like we were in a meat locker . they say they change the temperature and they hesitated for us to go take our food outside but it was freezing the whole time .

Let's start by saying I witnessed a woman fall while walking to her seat. As people who didn't even know the woman rushed over to her, only one female staff member watched from a distance and then didn't even come over to talk to her until enough people complained that no one came over to help. Then the manager comes over after 5-7 minutes and gives some lame excuse on why the floor is slippery. About 15 mins later another customer comes in and says "man it's slippery" so I got the managers attention and watch her walk to a guy cook "who says what do you want me to do about it?" He then grabs a box of salt and throws it on the floor, I'm assuming to soak up whatever is making the floor slippery. He sweeps up the salt and of course looks upset that he's even having to do it. This is not acceptable for any company to treat someone who fell in their restaurant. I'm disappointed in their customer service. Side note this is my first visit here and this is not a good first impression. Also, the another night in Bangkok was good. The Fonz was just ok and the cheese fries had shredded and melted liquid cheese which was interesting.

The SELECTIONS! I never knew how many different type of hot dogs there are. Can I just say this is a great place for Lunch an dinner? I love the variety of dogs, the monthly specials, I missed out on the Mac and cheese dog. My buddy told me of all of its savory glory, I waited too long to try it out. I feel like that was the worst mistake of my life. Great atmosphere cheery staff, savory dogs. MUST TRY, you will not regret it.

I would definitely recommend the tator tots over the fries with the condiments. As for hot dogs, try the Das Brat-- it beats downtown dog and sooo cali. Customer service is always good, worth a try.

I absolutely love this place. It's my second time here and I will keep coming back. One of my faves is "the Fonz" it's delicious. My favorite part about this place is that they use Hawaiian rolls for the burgers and hot dogs!

I got a regular cheese burger. with cheese fries. Yum!!! The hamburger is like 4 Minnie slider burgers and good. The only thing i would change were the fries, the tater tots are better!

Excellent!!!! enough said!! (But yelp wants me to say more) here goes....we stopping while in West Covina for a baseball tournament. My hubby and I shared a burger, (his pick) I think he said it was called "Holy Aioli" the bun was comprised of 4 Kings Hawaiian Rolls, the cheese was melted and I added spicy mustard to my half. I wanted to eat slowly to enjoy every morsel...it was delicious!! The fries were perfect as well, crispy and thick. We will be back next time we come through WC.

  • B B.

Had the Pig and the Fig sausage. Quite tasty. Cheese tots were a disappointment as the cheese coagulated and didn't stay liquid / melted and became a cold, ugly, unappetizing mess. Other than that, it was a good meal. Skip the cheese and just have plain ol' tots is my advice. Looking forward to returning and having a go at the burgers.

Ok, I get the fact that this place is supposed to serve quality food, maybe they do, but I have a hard time accepting the taste of good franks, sausages, hamburgers, with Hawaiian Bread. Don't get me wrong, I love Hawaiian Bread, but I just think it does not balance with what they serve. I'm sorry, been here twice and do not think I would plan on it again.

This haus is a very fine haus. My haus at the end of the street. It is definitely a brick haus, but only metaphorically. Wood, metal, plaster probably. Standard strip mall materials. It is definitely one of the hauses of the holy. Okay that's all the dumb song puns I can think of. I love that a quality dog proprietor moved in right next door. The all beef dogs and the various sausages are very tasty; the various ingredient combinations creative and fun. My wife loves that our toddler gives her an excuse to order the kids meal and eat the very fine corn dog and scrumptious slider, and share a few of the french fries with the little one. I am partial to the tots, especially with chili and cheese on them. I guess what I'm trying to say is I hope I don't walk up one day to find someone burning down this haus.

I really wanted to give this place at least one more star. Just my personal taste, I wasn't to fond of the sweet buns. Love that they're toasted to perfection but with a savory dog which was a take on the famous LA dogs....it didn't mesh for me. I also felt that there was just too much going on. The dog itself was delicious and quality but with that much topping it got overpowered and soggy. I'll give this place another go in the future.

Delicious hot dogs! I was tempted by the Downtown Dog but in the end chose the Old Town Dog and despite the jalapeños it was not spicy, don't worry. The tater tots were so so crispy. You know when you get fried potatoes and the ends are super crispy-that's what the tots were like, all the little morsels of potato were super crispy. Yummy. My friend got the Chili Dog, it looked good and it came with a little cup of Fritos on the side. Get the upgrade so you can get a side of tots and a drink for a few bucks more.

First time here and it was aaaaamaaazing! I felt extremely guilty after but it was so worth it. The portions are just right, price is equal to what you get and the ingredients taste rich in flavor. Customer service was just as splendid as the food, which is hard to come by these days unfortunately... Ria helped us with the menu and suggested hot dogs and burgers according to what we told her we liked and she chose just the perfect things. It gets crowded on weekends but there's a reason for that! We're definitely coming back.

This place is heaven! I was worried that there wouldn't be any vegetarian options but you can chose anything on the menu and substitute for a veggie sausage. I ordered the "BAD MUTHA CLUKA" with a veggie sausage. It was delicious and flavorful. The only gripe is the space/capacity. It's very small with only a few tables. I can see this place getting a lot of business and not having enough seats for guests.

  • Jay Z.

Tried the Pasadena location a few years ago. Had to try the West Covina location too. Service was not overwhelming friendly, but good enough. The place had customers, but it wasn't busy. The menu has a lot of variety; you kinda want to try everything. Ordered the little mule and chili cheese tots. For a whopping $13+. The bread added just enough sweetness. Aioli had just enough kick. And the tots were very crispy. I could've gone without the chili. Food was good, but heavy. If I go back, I would try a different burger, and get regular tots.

Wieners! Wieners! Big, long, juicy and dressed like nobody's business! (that's what she said... . :p ) I've been to a Dog Haus before and I'm so glad that there is one near my home! Located in McIntyre Square, West Covina, you cannot miss this place with all the lights and boards indicated that this is the home of the best wieners you'll have. It's been quite a long time since I've been here, but my first time at this location. During this visit, my friend and I shared a little bit from the whole menu. Lets start: The Cowboy Dog: (BBQ lovers!) Basically a Carl's Western burger, but in a hot dog form. You get that sweet, tangy BBQ flavor, but a certain crunchy snap texture from the dog. I don't usually like BBQ, but I am a fan of this dog. It was good and I would eat it again. The Old Town dog: (Spicy fans, try this out) A spicy girls dream where there is NOTHING canned here. Jalapenos were fresh with some seeds still in play for that extra kick. Spicy, but not burning-my-tongue-reaching-for-water spicy. However, this is spicy enough for the lips to be tingling and having that heated sensation to give you the feel that you're Angelina Jolie. Keep in mind that I LOVE spicy food and eat Sriracha like it's ketchup.. so spice meter may be altered. The Hangover Burger: This was a pleasant mess. It was not a favorite in this order, but it was still good. The patty was cooked medium well where it's not pink, but very juicy. This is the kind of patty that when you bite into it, it crumbles right in your mouth and melts. *Also, I believe all their burger patties are cooked this way* There is a sunny side up egg in this, so it runs all over the place and makes everything gooey. Chili is also in the mix, which doesn't help in the mess either. In my opinion, I only tasted chili in this whole burger. I enjoyed the texture, but having egg in here didn't really provided any benefit... just extra calories... Chili Cheese fries: Don't you just hate it when you order cheese fries and all the topping is on top and it's plain and dry on the bottom? Yeah, that is NOT the case! I really appreciate that there is cheese in EVERY bite and not a dry fry here. To me it tasted like it was Velveeta cheese, but if it isn't... it has a very similar consistency and taste to it. I mean, these fries are so rich and creamy, but there is that Velveeta-like aftertaste that me and maybe some others are just not a complete fan of. The fries themselves were also really good in that they are REAL potatoes, just like In-N-Out! It was definitely pleasant and a good spin on things in regard to FRESHNESS! Yes, this dish is definitely on the better part of my list of chili cheese fries. Dare I say, on the same field per taste with The Hat, but better in terms of the cheese to fry ratio; however, portion sizes are not the same as it comes in a serving for one. Salted Caramel Shake: Salted Caramel has been all the rage lately, but this tasted like a slightly salty vanilla shake. It didn't win my cholesterol filled heart and therefore, will be something that I don't get my next visit. If you do in fact want a shake, it's still quite good in that it's a soft serve and has easy suck-ability through a straw. ...just, it may be safer to stick with the original flavors. All in all, Dog Haus... 2 thumbs up! Flavors and creation are definitely a win. Orders are made upon order and ingredients are fresh. If you're feeling adventurous, give this place a try!

I've never heard if this place till a good friend recommended it to me so this past Saturday I went in and ordered the downtown dog. I must say thus might have been the best hot dog I have ever had I absolutely loved it!! I've seen somplaints about there not being enough seating which is true but I wouldn't change the rating on that basis simply because it's kept very well cleaned. They make best of what they got highly recommend coming here and I will definitely be back for more!!

  • Olivia S.

Meh... There's so much sauce that it makes the buns soggy. Other than that it's pretty good I like the sweet Hawaiian bread. I also ordered French fries which was drenched in oil and not good at all. Also they only have one size and they barely gave me any. I ordered this take out.. But still even when I ate in the buns were still soggy. So yeah ... Would give more stars if they lightened up the sauce

Decent joint. Not a lot of seating but glad it is a busy joint. Had the mule and it was tasty. Everything is on Hawaiian bread so something unique. Good taste contrast with savory and sweet. The chili fries was a bit too salty, but it could just be all the salt from everything else.

I remember now why after visiting Dog Haus in Pasadena a couple years ago why I never went back. The hot dog was ok, but the fries were extremely disappointing. My sister and I couldn't finish the fries since it just tasted not fresh...still recommend Wurstkuche in downtown LA.

Easily one of my favorite places to eat at. I was very excited that the West Covina location finally opened - it's close to home! The hot dogs are cooked when you order. So there will be a lot of waiting time, especially if you happen to come in when the restaurant is at its busiest! However, the food is definitely worth the wait. My favorite being the The Fonz - it's pretty delicious and I would definitely recommend that with an order of fresh tater tots! You won't be disappointed. Most of the food comes out freshly made and tasting delicious; if they don't make it to your liking, let them know and they'll make you another one! One of the things that I am not fan of is that there is very , very limited seating. So, right after you place your order, you're on the hunt for places to sit at. A lot of people tend to order to go because of it. If you're like me and you want to enjoy your food when you get it, you're gonna have to race to get a table before someone else snatches it from you! All in all, excellent food. It's perfect if you thirst for the wurst, since they love wieners!

Very small place to eat in. If it's full inside u can go outside in the patio. I didnt think there was anything WOW about it. Prefer THE HABIT, In n Out or even Costco for $1.50 ! My food was served sloppy with the toppings tipped to one side. But however the taste of it was good.

  • James G.

The burgers are great but about too expensive. The hod dogs and sausages are way overpriced. The fries and tater tots are small, they're expensive, and they're not good at all. The environment is cool. I just really like their burgers... If they were a few dollars cheaper, I would come here way more often.

Omg....this place is my guilty pleasure!! I was not a HUGE hot dog/sausage fan in the US until I tried this place for the first time! It's literally indescribable how fantastic the food here is! All sausages and burgers are served on Hawaiian bread that is always warm and extremely fresh! I have ordered the tater tots and chili cheese tater tots as sides and both times just could not get over how delicious they were!! Around Thanksgiving I stopped and got the Plymouth Pilgrim holiday special. It was basically a thanksgiving feast on top of a delicious sausage and I couldn't stop thinking about it for a week. AMAZING! The sauces were flavourful and heavy and yummy without being greasy, and he meat itself was really good! I went back this week and got the bacon-wrapped Old Town Dog with no onions. It was nothing short of incredible!! Its my new favorite lunch spot for work and if it weren't so much food I would be here all the time! (The portions are massive by the way - when it arrived you're going to spend a few seconds trying to figure out how to possibly fit it in your face) They have a large selection of sausages, sides, and dipping sauces so you will have a tough time deciding what to get! You can also build your own dog or burger! They have a decent (great for a lunch spot) selection of beers too! Overall - I'm totally in love with this spot!

Pro: Hot dog was not bad. but a bit overpriced for what it is. Con: I came in around 8:00PM on a weekday night and I waited literally 5 minutes in line before someone acknowledged me. This was unacceptable because I was the only one in line! From what I saw the employees was having too much fun fooling around in the kitchen to notice customers walking in. When the cashier finally acknowledged me I was not greeted with a "welcome" or a even smile, just a simple "what can I get you". She seemed like she hated her life, then again I would be too if I worked at a hot dog joint. Overall the staff seems like they rather hang out with each other than actually do their jobs. They can also use a lesson on basic customer service.

Had the bad mutha clunker with a pastrami sausage and sweet potato fries. It was really good. Kind of pricey but worth it.

The food is pretty good. However it's kind of pricey for hot dogs. I don't mind paying for a little extra for gourmet hot dogs but the amounts were kind of small. I had to get 2 hot dogs to be satisfied and I'm not like a beast or anything. Additionally, the place is really small. It was difficult to find seating, i had to stand next to a table like a vulture to try and claim it.

Good concept and good food items. It's kind of pricey for the portion you get. One hot dog isn't enough and two is too much. Seating is challenging during busy times

Besides the fact that I have been waiting for 30 minutes for a simple order, the employees, who are cooking in the open, are obnoxious and cursing nonstop. One in particular was just on the phone taking an order and holding the microphone away from his face and cursing. Pathetic. Guess this is the type of employee you get for minimum wage, should have stayed home....... Just got home and tasted the food, terrible. Should have spent the time and driven to slaw dogs in Pasadena. This was such a complete waste of time and money that I literally stopped a couple from going inside

I love Dog Haus, that said this location needs help. Ordered 2 dogs, tots and a coke. Dog 1. Downtown - mustard. Got the dog with mustard, had to wait for them to make a new one. Dog 2. Scott Baoli - the effing hot dog wasn't cooked. It was cold maybe room temp if that. Had it really made. 30 min since I ordered and I haven't got Dog 2. 15 min after pointing out dog 2 wasn't cooked... they never made it. I asked for a refund and will eat somewhere else.

The food was just so good tried the bad mutha clucka and the pig lebowski and some cheese fries and everything was just so yummy it was a first time for me and I loved it everyone was friendly and they had beer too so that was a plus ! Another good local spot

This place is very unique and a real treat. All of the burgers and the hotdogs have Hawaiian bread as the buns which is genius. I usually go for the burgers over the hotdogs but that is just my personal preference. My wife actually orders the kids meal because you get a small slider and tiny hotdog and tater tots with a drink. It's a perfect size for her and a good deal. The best burger in my humble opinion is maple bacon, shredded cheddar cheese and bulgogi glaze... trust me you will love it.

  • Jennifer L.

Wouldn't recommend the corndog sliders appetizers... The batter was kind of off. Sweet potato fries were good. Love that the buns are made from King Hawaiian sweet rolls... And them "Hangover" and "Holy Aoli" burgers though... Amazing. Highly recommend those two.

First time there was for my father in laws birthday and let me tell you the food was not a Disappointment...I love the atmosphere needs to be a little more kid friendly other than that I take out and eat at home when it's the fam and there if it's just the Hubby & I. Great Dogs !

First time coming here and i must say... It was DELICIOUS!! I order a slider and share tater tots with my bf. Simple but it was fulfilling... Definitely will come back soon!

We ordered a few things off the menu to get a good sampling of the food. Everything was very good. Love that use Hawaiian rolls for buns, loved the Tater Tots. Parking was bit of a challenge as was finding a seat. We were there at lunch time but its wasn't crazy busy. The prices were higher than expected, over 10.00 per person for lunch

Yay! I'm a fan! I initially went to 85C for some drinks but was intrigue by Dog Haus yummy aroma when I passed by. So, the wife, the kids, and I went inside for a quick bite and check out what's it all about. The ambiance is cool, the staff were awesome and polite, and the choices are decent. I tried the Doghaus signature all meat skinless dog, smoked bacon, white American cheese, crispy onions, BBQ sauce....I was pretty satisfied overall.

A bit pricey, but their food is delicious and my boyfriend and I have no qualms of coming back. We visited the one is Pasadena and had a good experience there and we felt the same coming to this location. I love their tater tots (cheese + tater tots = heaven) and I enjoy their sliders. I tried the Ava Maria this last time I went. It was good but it was a little on the sweet side since they use Hawaiian sweet rolls for their buns but I enjoyed it overall. This burger came with mushrooms, caramelized onions, white American cheese, and mayo. Can't wait to try the other interesting options they have in future trips. Best part is that it is very close to my school.

A poor knockoff. My order was messed up. The order was split so a friend of mine waited 15 minutes longer than than everyone else for their food. No apology or attempt to fix it. Layout is just bad. Its small and all the stuff is in one corner. The only trash can, the sauces, and the soda in one spot. Floor was wet. Floors are smooth. Not a good combo.

  • Arlene G.

Overall experience was okay. Ordered the old town dog. Very spicy. It was good. My bf ordered the grand slam dog and he liked it as well. The wait was outside the door. It took about 15-20 minutes to order. The wait to get our food was about 35 minutes. Mind you it was TO GO, because there was nowhere to sit. The layout of the place is too small and awkward. Everyone was standing in crowded groups waiting for their food. The fries were bland and overpriced for the amount they give you. The tater tots were pretty good, decent size. The onion rings were very good except for the fact that they only give you FOUR onion rings. My bf was pretty upset about that. Overall it wasn't worth the wait and time. I'd rather spend my money and go all the way downtown to wurstkuche.

this place is dramatically different from the other locations. service was ok (took my order and gave me my food, i dont know how you could mess that up) but... they served me COLD FRIES. seriously you gonna do me dirty like that and you gave sich a small portion too. also there was only 1 person ahead of me and it took 15 minutss to make 1 hotdog. very disappointed with this place. i will be returning to the pasadena one instead. you should too

This is the second Dog Haus I have been to. The first location I went to is in Alhambra which I was incredibly impressed by how nice their team was and the food that came out. This location is smaller and seating is limited. They did not have a side bar for jalapenos, sauces, and other pickled goods which was disappointing. Their food is still great and I do recommend trying this place. I recommend ordering one of their sausage.

One of my favorite places to get a dog. Place is kinda small but well worth the wait I suggest trying out the Scott Baioli with cheesy tots

Went here with my boyfriend a month ago and ordered a couple of the Sooo Cali Haus Dog which was a skinless beef hotdog with wild arugula, spicy basil aioli, crispy onions, avocado & tomato. It was really tasty and different but in a good way! The place was busy but it's clean and the staff are friendly and professional. We plan on going back and sampling more of their awesome menu.

First time I've ever been to a "hot dog" place but they have a good amount of options from Vegie dogs to turkey, beef, pork or chicken. They have creative menu for their dogs or you can build your own! They also have burgers! There isn't a ton of seating but loved the food and price wasn't bad! Watch out the Old town dog is spicy!!

    (5)
  • John S.

To anyone who thinks that a hotdog is just a hotdog or a burger is just a burger has to come try this place! Fusion style hotdogs is definitely a great idea and it works! Having all the sandwiches served on King's Hawaiian bread is an absolute winner!!! I would've given them 5 stars but they're new and still have a few kinks to workout as far as there efficiency. All in all, it gets my vote to comeback. My wife and kids are definite fans now too!

Customer service was great. I had the Chilli cheese fries and added bacon.....yummy chili and bacon...... so good. Also we had the Scott Baioli dog .....burger slider was very good.....The old town dog was very good. Thank you Norman and staff for great service!

Ahhhh, the Dog Haus. I enjoyed my lunch at the Dog Haus. The menu was simple and limited which allows for you to make quick choices. That a plus because the place is smallish and seating quickly gets filled. There are a few tables outside which help, but were insufficient for the crowd. I had the "old town dog" and my brother had the "a night in Bangkok". We had them cut in half so that we could taste both. My money is on the "old town dog". It was tasty and savory. Whereas the "Bangkok" wasn't bad it was too sweet for me. The contrasting spicy curry sausage and the sweet slaw didn't work in harmony. We split an order of chili cheese fries. Firstly; there is now value to this option. They cost $5 and the order was very small. Overall, I would go there again and try some of the other options.

My mom and me love coming here and trying something new every time. If you love Hawaiian king rolls this is the place to go. No bread just rolls for hot dogs and burgers. I luke to get creative and always put something wierd luke thai peanut sauce with bbq sauce. All homemade saucage and good beer

Talked into trying by friend who frequents the Pasadena location.... Glad I listened! Had the "Ringer" great bacon burger with tater tots. Nice new location in redesigned strip mall. Good parking and fantastic service

If you like modern day spins on classics then you'll like this place a lot you can have your dog your way you have 2 options either you can create your own or you can pick from one of their creations. They have both hot dogs and sausages that they carefully make to perfection. and you can't pass up the tater tots either, that's the biggest sin you'll probably make lol. I went with the bangkok hot dog it was a little on the spicy side which I like, but the slaw gave it that great texture with every bite! The great thing about this place is now I don't have to wait til dodger games to have a great hot dog I can just come here! Now let's talk ambiance: it's pretty chill, it's like a sports bar. Decent sized restaurant, with good amount of indoor seating and TVs so you can probably catch a game here. Beware the parking can be crazy because it's in a shopping center. The employees were all super nice and helpful (: they even gave us a sample of each one of their sauces to try with our tots #winning I would definitely come back again and recommend this place to anyone.

  • Nicole Y.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I ordered the Old Town Dog and it was so delicious! The Old Town Dog is a hot dog wrapped in bacon with jalepenos, peppers, onions, and a chipotle mayo sauce. I love spicy foods, so the jalepenos in this hot dog were amazing! The "hot dog" bun was made from 3 Kings Hawaiian Sweet Bread rolls. I also ordered the tater tots. I'm going to try the chili cheese tater tots next time. I'll definitely be going back here again!

Really good hot dogs with lots of variety. You can customize and get so many different things you can't get bored with the menu. Staff is friendly and service is fast so theres no problem there. The only real issue is that the seating arrangement is kinda dumb so you might be sitting in a row with the squad making it kinda hard to keep a conversation which I like to do when eating. Its also awkward sitting across strangers, last time I was here a dude was trying to pick up his friends girlfriend after a fight and it was just kinda lame to watch hahaha.

I walked in at 9:55 p.m. on a Wednesday night knowing they closed at 10 p.m., but I was craving Dog Haus all day and I just wanted to place a small order! There was a couple ordering at the cashier, so I didn't feel too bad about walking in before close. As the cashier handed them their number she looked at me and said they were closed. I was taken back by her comment since she JUST took the couple's order and they couldn't have walked in much earlier than I did. I then looked at my watch and it was 9:56 p.m. at that point. They still had 4 minutes until close! I have worked in the food business. I know you take orders up to the very minute, even past closing if you need to, AND you do not turn a customer away when you've JUST TAKEN another customer's order! Sadly, I just turned around and walked out. I was too hungry and tired to argue, or get her name. Thankfully there is Yelp. I'm still pretty annoyed about it, but I will give this location another chance in the future. I really do love Dog Haus and it would be nice to not have to drive into Pasadena to enjoy it.

Old Town Dog was amazing!!! caramelized onions and jalapeños made it very tasty! but if you don't like hot (I do) then don't get it. its hot but also tasty and I've only had the little leaguer chili dog before which is also amazing. I do not agree at all with the review of the Old Town Dog that says its mushy. if you like jalapeños and onions and spicy you will love this dog. I can't eat here often because I watch my calories but on the occasion that I break my rules it will definitely be done here! Great service, great atmosphere, clean and beautiful area and parking and shopping center.

Could've been a 5. Went because I had a Groupon, came with 2 beers but since the Mrs is prego ,they told her she could opt out & get a regular drink. We ordered fries & was told that we would have to pay the difference which is fine thinking it would've been change, we were wrong. The Groupon was for 25.98, the only gave us 21.97 credit and charged us an extra 4 bucks for fries. Not really realizing this till we almost finished our meal, still hungry went & order another Dog & informed the staff, they couldn't understand why I felt jipped. After much explanation & getting irratated they couldn't understand the math of what should've been discounted on my next order & offered me 2 & change off instead of th the 4.15 they over charged me. Don't get me wrong, the food is amazing, burgers melt in your mouth, fries are better than In'n out (real fresh cut fries), & they have decent craft on tap, I just wish someone knew how to do math there. Word of advice if you have a Groupon, don't let them tell you that you can change it up to work how you want it, just get what it says on there & the order something extra or you can possibly have to deal with what I had to. Would I go back? Not any time soon only because a dog cost 6 bucks, brauts and burgers cost 7, & fries cost 1.99 or if you're me it's 4.15.

This place is so good! Hubby got the little leaguer which is like a pepper belly on a bun and I got a so Cali which was avo , crispy onions and some greens. Very tasty. The chili cheese tots are off the hook and the batter for the onion rings was yummy. It's about a 30 minute drive from our house, but we will definitely be back.

My Buddy has me running VW parts runs into West Cochina so why not stop by and get a Grand Slam dog. Wife and I have never been here so we don't know what to expect. Can't go wrong with a place that makes a chili dog with Fritos and onions.

We were in the area looking for a place to eat. Decided on this place since the reviews were convincing and I've never met a hot dog I didn't like. I went for the pig and the fig sausage and wow it was deeelish! Someone had described this as the perfect combo of sweet and salty and I would have to agree. The sausage had a nice bite to it and the figs and mustard sauce worked well together. And who doesn't like Hawaiian bread!? I definitely recommend. My hubby on the other hand was not too happy with his choice of the Cowboy. He said the crispy onions were a bit of an overkill and the rest was a little blah. He did however enjoy the burger sliders so I'm glad he ordered those for himself last minute. Lastly, we ordered some sweet potato fries, meh...nothing amazing. We will be back to try some of their other goodies as soon as we burn off the calories from this time. lol

Delicious dogs... But the chili was pretty gross... Did NOT like it... Also, get ready to have a heartattack, everything feels greasy you'll feel you need a salad after.

Yes! They brought one of my favorite things from Alhambra closer to home. Menu looks smaller here tho. I love the Scott Baoli. Smallish restaurant. But digging the little cozy they give you with your can of beer. The build your own suasage/dog/burger sounds intriguing, but there are plenty of pre-built options to try from, even if not as many (see above). I will definitely be back.

  • Maria B.

Have been here for lunch several times now and the food is great. Really eclectic mixes of hot dogs and burgers. My favorite burger is "The Little Mule" and my favorite hot dog is the "Scott Baioli." I love that you can get tater tots as sides too (I always think of Napoleon Dynamite when I see them). The place gets really crowded for lunch, so you really need to get here by 11:30 or so if you go with one or more other people. They only have a few tables for 4, then the rest is group, bar-style seating.

    (4)
  • Amanda T.

Great, quick service. Food is up to par with the Dog Haus restaurants in Pasadena. For some reason, they charge extra for most sauces while the other locations have unlimited self-serve sauces. Maybe all of the locations are like this now? Please bring back free sauces. Other than that, welcome to West Covina. You're a fine addition to the 85 degrees plaza.

We came on the grand opening Saturday. Only waited in line for about 10 mins. The girl out front gave my daughter a button and tattoo. The staff inside were sooo nice! And the hot dogs are amazing!!! I had the Scott Baioli, my husband had the Downtown, and my daughter had the Little Leaguer. I work down the street and will definitely be back!

  • Shirley C.

Dog Haus is one of my favorite hot dog places and I'm glad they opened one in West Covina. Usually I just stick with hot dogs like SoCali and Grand Slam but I was feeling adventurous that day and got the Little Mule burger. It was DELISH, that chipotle aioli so good and i think i found my new favorite item on their menu. My bf and I also got the cheesy tots (also really good, it was quite filling) and the corndog with the Thai curry sausage (it has just the right amount of kick) and I wish i live closer so I can come by everyday and try a different corndog. I could always count on Dog Haus to satisfy my belly

Surprisingly vegetarian friendly! Great flavor and good price for a lot of food! I got the Soo Cali with the vegetarian Italian sausage with a side of sweet potato fries and it was awesome! My brother got the Little Leaguer and absolutely demolished it. Would highly recommend! It's a fun place to come!

Very Good! Came here to eat with the family my oldest son had told me about this place he raved about their hot dogs on Hawaiian Bread Buns. He was right they are delicious I had the Downtown Dog which their take on a bacon wrapped hot dog. It was very good! I've had quiet a few at different stops, especially the ones in Downtown L.A., but these are better cause you know it's quality and its a very good establishment. And they taste delicious.

Came here for the first time, looking at all the options on the menu, with everything sounding very tasty I finally settled on "The Cowboy" which was a hot dog on Kings Hawaiian Bread, with cheese, the right amount of BBQ sauce and Onion strings snd bacon.I also ordered the cheese totts. The hot dog itself was very, very tasty. The way the hot dog, bbq, and onion straws flavor mixes with the bread was so good. The cheese totts were just as tasty and gave me just the right amount of totts. It literally took me to the second to last bite where I said I'm stuffed. So the portion was just right. This place gets 4 stars, not because of food or service but because of how small it is. I imagine since this is new there is gonna be allot of traffic, but if it maintains this amount of traffic, which honestly I thought the food will definitely keep people coming in, then they are gonna have to put tables outside or figure something out cause it was packed with people just waiting for others to leave with no such luck. Some people on their reviews made it sound like it's really cramped, which it is not. There is allot of space to move sbout, just not much seating. If you have trouble moving through this place because its too cramped then you should probably take a break from eating food like this, hint, hint.

Food's awesome. Just the spacious is very small. Before this place opens, my boyfriend and I have tried their other Dog Haus in Alhambra and Pasadena. I always order their burgers. It was good. But ever since this one open, we went from burgers to dogs. I had the Another Night in Bangkok , Grand Slam , and Tae Kwon Dog. The Grand Slam was filled with sriracha and tater tots , it's bomb! Everything else has eggs which my boyfriend love the best so it's a plus for him. Haha. Just spacing of area , that's all.

I've been to the Pasadena location numerous times and became an immediate fan of this place! I was so glad to see there was one opening near my home. I gathered all the cousins and we headed out there for lunch. It was a full house, but luckily we were able to grab a few seats at the bar style tables. It's been a little while since I've last been so I was overwhelmed on deciding what to order. Every single dog sounded so good! I ended up going with the Old Town Dog and it was delicious! I love spicy food, but post having a baby my taste buds can't handle it as much so this one was actually a little spicy for me. The first time I ordered the tater tots at the Pasadena location they were great! Nice and crunchy, not too oily and ever since it always ends up being a side I get. Today though my cousin decided to go big and order some chili cheese tater tots. They were good, but I felt like its definitely something you want to share. Its a whole meal in itself, lol. All my cousins gave me the thumbs up on this place. I will definitely be going back for the dogs and sausages I have yet to try :)

Wow best hot dogs we have had, we just stopped by because we were in the area and weren't expecting much but it was so good! Everything was so fresh, the bread was different yet delicious, and everything had a unique flavor. Quick service and the girl at the register was helpful and patient. Will be coming back for sure!

No where near as good as the one in Pasadena. The staff is really nice, but that's it. Just drive a little further for a better tasting meal. There is more seating at the Pasadena location too.

Ok so I work at the new DriveTime in the West Covina Auto mall. Today we decided to order lunch for all of the team. I opted for the standard cheeseburger. Little did I know they serve their dogs & burgers on Hawaiian sweet bread (my fav). This burger was so darn good!!!! I totally ordered another after I got off work. The food is very good & they have plenty to choose from in lots of cool names & ingredients. I suggest u all visit this place or at least the nearest one to u. U will not be disappointed!!!

GROUPON SCAM BEWARE!!! The two hot dog and two beer Groupon for $16 requires you to pay for tax. I've used this coupon once in Pasadena and I had no issue with it. I already paid for the two beers and hot dogs through Groupon and therefore have a voucher for beer n dogs. Why do I have to pay for tax? The cashier can't even explain why when I told her I'm using a voucher, not a gift card. When I asked another server why I have to pay for tax, they didn't even know why. So if u use a Groupon here, you really only save around $4 rather than the original as suggested by GROUPOn because you have to pay an additional $3 for tax. The dogs were juicy but the customer service and Groupon SCAM will deter me from coming again. So Groupon USERS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!!

Place looks pretty cool/ kind of a young hipster place. Ordered the Old Town Dog, sweet potato fries and a drink. Great tasting dog and sweet potato fries. Good food and good service- ya' can't beat that.

The place is smaller than i thought but the dogs were of this world. There were four people at our table, and every one ate every last bite. Don't see that happen very often. I had "the cowboy"... oh em gee.

Overall the food is bomb. I would have never excpected a hotdog to taste as good as it did. I had the fonz at first and it was delish. The taste and the aesthetics when they serve it to you is right on. Very impressed. Next I tried the soo cal and wow I was amazed. I would have given it five stars but it's expensive. I think they need to notch it down a dollar.

Tried this place for the first time on a Tuesday on the way home after work. I ordered the bacon wrapped dog with a Lagunita Pils and slaw on the side. The dog: the bun/bread/wrapper was excellent (I love anything made from flour), the dog was very good, but if I had to do it again I'd ask for all the condiments to be left of the dog as they masked the taste of the weenie/bacon. The slaw was very good. They say they make fresh every day and they do. I LOVE slaw! Their house slaw is definitely fresh but a bit on the mayo tasting side. It's a 8 1/2 out of 10. The Holy Grail of slaw is at Tyler's Burgers in Palm Springs, I'm lusting after it now. The Dog Haus played this really unusual playlist of music: metal, punk, rock. It went from Holiday in the Sun by The Sex Pistols to Stroke Me Stroke Me by Billy Squire to Keep on Rolling by REO, segue into some U2. WHO PLAYS THE SEX PISTOLS ANYMORE? Anyway, I grew up with the Pistols and it was cool to hear the stuff. I can't wait to return and give the D Haus another try.

Everything I have tried here has been above expectations. Tots are tasty a little salty. Batter infused with root beer is different but flavorful. Chilli is just right not watery or overly chunky. Hawaiian rolls are delicious as well.

I've been to Dog Haus in Pasadena once before and I enjoyed it so I was happy to hear that they are now franchising and decided to open one up in West Covina (so much closer to me!) Since they barely opened like yesterday of course it was packed, I was expecting it but the line moved quickly. I ordered the Freiburger with tater tots and wow it is so delicious. It had an egg, coleslaw, and french fries inside the burger...I was in heaven. Overall everything was very good and I was pleased. The only thing I wish was different was the egg..be sure to ask for it cooked a little longer because it was a bit watery for me. :( Pros: food is good, price is reasonable, staff is nice, clean restaurant and clean bathrooms Cons: none that was worth posting on here.

Being raised in chicago, I can't pass up an opportunity to experience a CA hot dog joint. I enjoyed the Sooo Cali & a brewski. Very tasty, I recommend. But... They DO NOT have the original Chicago Hot Dog on their menu, no problem, I make a point to travel to the Windy City annually to get that fix!

Good food and good price. Loved the atmosphere. I had the Thai curry dog and my bf had the hangover burger I think? My sausage tasted more like Tom yum than curry...the lemon grass really stood out. Not saying it was a bad thing. I loved it! My boyfriend enjoyed his food as well.

  • Robynne C.

Sorry but it was very mediocre tasting. There was too much going on in the hotdogs, and unfortunately that gave it a bland taste. Fries seemed dry, not flavorful. Tots were okay but,,, oh my, the chilly and cheese on top was sooo thick and rich,, it was hard to enjoy. The "Downtown dog", having an uncanny resemblance to an "LA dog",,, was BLAND TASTING. Maybe I'll try a corndog next time, but other than that, I won't come back for anything else. If you really want a good hotdog/sausage, go to Wurstküche. Better hotdogs, sausages, fries,,, better everything.

We came here for lunch. Service was not the best. Do make sure to check your receipt. We were over charged for one additional drink and fries. The food was over priced. $7 dollar dog between two Hawaiian rolls and drowned in ketchup, mustard, and mayo. It would be nice if there was condiment available of our own choice. Bad experience......

Good food. Horrible workers. I had high hopes for this place and was excited but disappointed. The stars are for the food not service. Workers are un-knowledgable. We ordered our food to go and went to sit down. The entire time waiting the workers were messing around, talking, wasting time, and doing anything but work. I guess that's what you get when you hire a bunch of kids. The wait for our food was coming up to 20-25 minutes and we only got sliders and tater tots which shouldn't take that long. Apparently our food was done the first 5 minutes because we saw a bag on the counter that had been sitting there. No worker bothered to bring us our food or say it was done and left it there to get cold. There were more then enough workers that could have noticed that we had been waiting for a while for no reason. Horrible experience and didn't get to enjoy the food fresh.

Dog Haus, is a great place to come to when craving a DTLA hot dog, but you're nowhere near L.A. Of course, Dog Haus for the win because they use Hawaiian bread for there buns which I absolutely enjoyed. Like, dude props for whoever came up with such an idea. The taste was just sooo amazing. Unfortunately, for me I ended up ordering a hamburger which I cannot say was bad it was just as delicious. However, when my boyfriend told me to take a bite of the hot dog he ordered I totally regretted not getting a hot dog. It just made me reminisce on DTLA hot dogs. It was so juicy and flavorful, and I would not mind coming here again. Love the creativity on the hamburger and hot dog names, I totally enjoyed reading them while waiting on my food.

Had an amazing experience coming into the doghouse. The service was tremendous the food was amazing and it was quick. I also like the fact that they serve alcoholic beverages. I got a really good deal on my meal by purchasing a coupon through groupon. There are hot dogs or something I plan on coming back for.

Hip vibe. Fast service. Memorable hot dog. The dogs are hot diggety. The menu at first is a little overwhelming...so many choices and a lot of descriptions on their specialties. Maybe a little aioli heavy but i personally am not complaining as I once spent an entire summer trying to achieve the perfect homemade mayonnaise. I also appreciate the generous selection of free special condiments. All said and done i suggest just throwing a mental dart and ordering the first thing that catches your eye. That's what i did and then while we waited for our dogs, we could read the menu and decide what to order next time...which will be the Korean dog and the chicken sausage. i was surprised at how excited my girlfriends and i were that all the hot dogs, sausages, and burgers are served on King's Hawaiian bread. Genius! The Old Town dog is phenomenal. It is not just the bacon wrapping or the cotijo or the sautéed jalapeños,it was that satisfying pop of the first bite. That's what it's all about. Oh yeah. And they have tater tots. Need I say more.

This place has my favorite burger, the fry burger. From a little corner in Pasadena, I watched them grow and knew someday they would blow up. The time has now come and they are opening spots everywhere. I'm so stoked that they now have one closer to me in West Covina. I'm proud of these dudes. Great job guys!

Absolutely delicious food. Not only the dogs but the hamburgers are a knockout also. Good fries and tater tots, decent prices and a trendy atmosphere make the Dog Haus a great place to eat.

  • Adrienne V.

A decent place to get your hot dog fix. The prices are around 6-7/hot dog or burger. The searing arrangements suggest to 'love thy neighbor' which I guess is kinda nice, but I enjoy personal space. personally, I wasn't too crazy about this place. I felt the taste was a little lacking, and there wasn't much of a wow factor to their hour dogs. I felt the flavor profiles could easily be achieved at home. I guess I'll stick to my santee alley dirty dogs. Mmhm.

Our friend took us here one evening to get some good grub. The food was great. A little different from your usual burger or hot dog which is a good thing. The servings are huge though and the food coma afterward was not pleasant, but that is my fault for eating too much. Split something, and get a side and you wont feel crappy after. The prices are good for how much you get, and the whole vibe is fun. It was pretty crowded when we went and we had to wait a little bit until a table opened up, but luckily our food wasn't ready yet. They have tons of dipping sauces which I love. The tater tots were nothing too special even though some reviewers rave about them. I got a burger and added pastrami which was amazing. My husband got one of their brats which was great too. Will definitely go back, but order less next time.

  • Keegan P.

Decent beer selection? Check. Excellent tots? CHECK. Good weiner selection! CHECK! For me music is a big deal, while I was there I heard AC/DC first thing, some Ozzy, Dio, Motley Crue andJoan Jett! Loud enough to enjoy, not too loud to also enjoy those around you. I got the Beer battered corn dog. and this is a hell of a corn dog. It ain't no wimpy Weirnershcnitzel corn dog, but it's not one of those gross bulgey, LA Fair ones either. This is a hot dog you could be proud of, and a corn batter that is just sweet enough. They have 4 different types of mustard! Husband was initially put off by the Hawaiian sweet rolls, which he's not fond of. But he absolutely DEVOURED his Das Brat with the sourkraut and grainy mustard. It's nothing like actual German Brat, he said, but he loved it just as well. Also the entrance to the shopping center is directly across from the on/off ramp for the EB 10fwy. So that's super handy.

Pretty good place. I don't really like hotdogs but my boyfriend insisted we try this place. It was pretty tasty! The variety of hotdogs is amazing.. I had a Thai one. The sauce was very good. The bun was pretty tasty but very bulky. Overall a good place to get a quick bite to eat at reasonable prices.

  • Daniel R.

This place definitely has really good food. I ordered the Bratwurst, Pig Lebowski, Mini Slider, Fries w/ Cheese Sauce and all were very tasty and well done. The restaurant itself is quite small and seating can be awkward because you end up facing complete strangers when you sit down on the tall benches but the restaurant does the best it can with the spacing that it has. I've given only 4 stars because I haven't tried everything on the menu yet and their food is a tad expensive. If the owner would consider having a "Wurst Night" or some other promotion of that nature I'm sure it would drive up the amount of times I would patron this establishment.

Tried this last night for the 1st time which was a Saturday. Didn't wait too long to order and didn't wait too long to get our food. Casual dining here, no waiters. U order ur food then seat urself. The inside seating was pretty full but we got our food to go so it didn't really matter. One table opened and we sat at it to wait for our food. The previous people who used the table left all their trash on it, these slobs didn't want to take their trash to the one trash can in the corner, so one of the workers should of cleaned it off. Sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for our food, no one cleared the table which was kind of annoying. We got a Scott baioli, hangover, cowboy, 2 burger sliders, & vanilla malt. Most of the food was pretty tasty. My husband thought the cowboy dog was ok. The Scott baioli was exceptional. The sliders were very good, a little pink in the middle but since I like my meat on the raw side I didn't mind but some beef burner probably would. The malt was good but a little small (12oz) for $5, but they say they use organic ice cream so that's probably y the $5 price. Will come again.

I was soooooo excited to see that a Dog Haus had opened in my town. I normally made the drive to Alhambra to have these amazing hotdogs but now I'm literally 5 minutes away. The place was pretty busy for a Monday night, but service was pretty quick and the food was awesome. Hot dogs and beer, can't go wrong :)

Sooo good. This was my 1st time here. I got the frieburger, my friend got the motley bleu, and my other friend got the regular cheeseburger. They were all amazing. Price wasn't too bad, service was pretty quick. I will definitely be back :)

I've had my share of hot dogs but never have I tasted one this good. I had the "little leaguer," a pork hot dog covered with the house chilli, some shredded cheddar cheese, onions and to top it off Fritos! This dog was the delicious. Dog Haus you just got your self a new regular.

I really want to like this place but it's a bit too much. The toppings are not working well together. It's too messy. The service is Meh, and definitely needs training. I got the pastrami dog ,Soo Cali and sone other dog. It did not look appetizing like the way picture does.

Great dog, however, forgot my order...waited for a half hour and one of the girls noticed me waiting. Went to check what happened to my dog and found out they forgot about the order. Waited an additional 10 minutes. Any free drink or tots or onion rings offered? Nope. Will not be going back. Bad service.

Great food, but the person at the register was utterly incompetent. He forgot to charge us for my burger and my dad's chocolate shake even though e had acknowledged each item in the order. His name was andrew n. And while i was there he got complaints from several other people for similar issues. If anyone in management is reading this, please remove him from the register, he is slow and his mistakes will drain your business.

I've promised to bring my son here, and today, we did it. I'm glad we did! The Kimchi Dog was tasty, without the Kimchi being too overpowering. The Ringer burger was favorful, and the patty was nice and thick, without being dry. The buns are different here, and makes them seem different than a hot dog and burger. Lastly, the atmosphere is great, really clean, and very modern and comfortable decor.

I am not a big fan of hot dog but the experience with Dog Haus is exceptional!! I went with friends on Saturday afternoon around 2pm and didn't expect the line was still long. I ordered the old town dog with mushroom and avocado. My friend ordered the same item but with egg on top. The wait time for the food was a little longer than I expected. However, the hot dog tasted amazing!! The hot dog was juicy and delicious!! I didn't like to add any mustard or mayonnaise but the hot dog is flavorful that I don't think additional seasoning is necessary. I was glad I didn't order any side because the hot dog is pretty big. I will definitely come back and recommend to all my friends to try it. ^_^b

My aviation professor recommended this place. It didn't disappoint. The fact they have crispy tater tots will keep me coming back. I had the downtown dog. It was really good. I love the Hawaiian buns they use for both the hot dogs and hamburgers. My roommate had one that was really spicy, I can't remember what it was called (old something). She went through like 3 drinks. But I thought it was amazing. The only reason for 4 stars was the wait. Granted it was a Friday night and they had just opened 3 weeks ago, but still I was starving. Very friendly staff and a fun atmosphere.

Great place! I love hot dogs and can't wait to try more of them when I go back. The tater tots are great too. Staff was very friendly and I didn't have to wait too long for my meal. Will definitely come back soon!

The food is always good at dog haus but this particular one had the worst service I have ever received. Not only did my food take over 30 min, while being the only customer in the restaurant, but I also had to ask the team members multiple times to check on my order. On top of that, there were 11 team members working at the time. The worst part of it all was that they didn't even apologize or mention the long wait. I would rather drive all the way to Pasadena then to come back here.

  • Shaun L.

I was super stoked to come here, but after my experience I don't think I will be making a return visit, not because the food was bad but because the service and communication needs a lot of work. We walked in and placed our order, after which we sat down to wait for our food, we were not given a number by the person who took our order. As we sat waiting for our food, a couple came in and made their order, after completing their order they sat near us, within a matter of 3 minutes after ordering their food they received it, while we sat there still waiting (mind you we ordered first) we sat patiently and after about 20 mins of waiting and other customers receiving their food we questioned them about our order. They then told us "oh give me a second I just want to be sure" after that no one talked to us after that, but, they spoke to the couple next to us who ordered after us who were already eating, (our order). They apologized to them and refunded them 2 dollars off their order, and proceeded to also give them their original order while they were able to finish "OUR"order which they had almost completely finished. They didn't even say anything about getting the wrong order till the employee came and spoke to them. We didn't receive our food for another 10 mins, so we have now been waiting for 30 mins total, for 2 Hot dogs and a chili cheese tots. "30 MINS"!!!! When we finally get our food their is no sincere apology just a " sorry there was a mix up." As we were eating another couple came and sat at our bench table, they receive their food in a timely manner, BUT there was a problem with the order and so they give it back to the staff to fix, one employee walks over and says oh sorry for the problem hands him a soda cup and says "here while you wait" so this guys gets a free soda for a no reason, the couple next to us gets 2 dollars off their bill, finish eating OUR order and still get their original order, while we sat their for "30 MINS" didn't get 2 dollars off our bill, no free soda cup, no acknowledgement, and not even a sincere apology. The worst part is I pre-tipped on my card receipt it wasn't much but at least I gave something, and that service is what we got. Are you kidding me!!!!! The food was good but definitely not worth the 30 mins wait and not the 21 dollar tab. If u asked me how was this place I'd say the food was good but the service.... Make your own assumption, as for if I would recommend this place. I don't think I would. I really wanted to like this place but after my experience it ruined my day. If I want a hot dog i'll go to LA for a dirty dog, or even Pinks. At least over there I know I will be happy for sure.

I've tried both locations in Pasadena and I love both of them. The food is always so good. I take my friends and family here whenever I get the chance and they always love coming here. So far, I haven't tried anything that I didn't like. The Hawaiian bread is a great choice for all of the hot dogs that I've tried so far.

I came in Halloween night. The service was horrible. I ordered three kids meal all with burger sliders (only 1 meal with onions) and a combo for myself and specifically asked for tater tots for all the meals. I repeated my order two times to the cashier. I get my order first which came with fries. I told the girl who brought the order that it was suppose to have tater tots instead of just changing the fries for tater tots she argues with me that I had ordered fries. Then five minutes later she brings only two kids meals. I tell the same girl I am suppose to have three meals. Once again she starts arguing with me, once I start raising my voice someone comes over and gives us two cookies and apologizes for the mistake. Ten minutes later the third meal comes and I tell the girl this one is not suppose to have onions. She angrily gets the receipt and talks to the cashier and tells me I'm wrong and once again I have to raise my voice and tell her that I had repeated the order two times to the cashier and it is not my fault that she placed the order wrong. Five minutes later she comes back with a new order of sliders and practically throws them on the table. When we are leaving I tell the same girl that the coke in the soda machine needs syrup that only the carbonated water is coming out and shrugs like she doesn't care. My family and I will not be coming back. Obviously this place doesn't care about good customer service.

This place is great! Food is amazing and the service is amazing as well. So many things to choose from and you can get a burger for $7.00 that would cost you easily $15.00+ at a nice burger joint. Not my first time here and definitely not my last.

A friend and I both had the Soo Cali and the flavor was amazing. I love all the textures and the arugula was really good. However the hot dog itself was barely warm. My tater tots were crispy but the chili on them wasn't any warmer than my hot dog. My friends onion rings were soggy with grease from the fryer temp being too low. I've eaten at another Dog Haus and know this isn't their standard. There were six people working but the food was slow coming out. I'd say more training is in order for this store.

Sausages were ok. Beers were decent but the seating is very akward. It has a very fast food atmosphere. I prefer the one in Old Pasadena.

  • Michael D.

This place is ridiculous. How the hell does it take 45 minutes to make a damn burger and hot dog?!?! Service was so inconsistent. Orders weren't going out in the order they came in. The girl prepping the toppings/sauces was sneezing while she was preparing food. The food wasn't even worth the wait. Tried the old town dog and holy aioli. Both were over seasoned and dry. If I knew it was gonna take so long for an order I would've eaten elsewhere. Just ordinary burger and hot dog. Overhyped and overpriced. Would not recommend to others and will not be back.

Complete test of my patience. I really wanted to like this place and have hyped everyone for the opening, happy to support the growing establishments in the city. Went there right when it opened, was one of the first to order and was really excited. Stopped over at 85c bakery while the bf stayed and waited for our order. After making it through the crazy 85c bakery lines I come back and see the place packed with none of the people that were in line with us still there. People who had come way after us had their food. 45 minutes later (again, would be understandable if we weren't the firsts to order and if they didn't tell us it's almost done!) we got our food and I was ready to forgive and forget. Alright. The food. I go home, open up the box and these things are WIMPYYYY on the toppings! One of them I honestly am not sure if they finished making it..... there was just a little drizzle sauce and some pieces of bacon. Nowhere to be seen were any caramelized onions and whatnot that was supposed to be on it. Their pictures stack the toppings but on our other one I literally lifted the fried egg and nothing was under that one either!!! What on earth is going on. After 45 minutes you think they would be able to finish making the thing. Tastes like nothing special either, which isn't surprising because there were practically no toppings on it to give it any taste. 2 stars because the bun tastes great and crunchy. Negative every other star because the terrible events of everything else took so long that I didn't even get to at least enjoy my 85c drinks with my lunch because the ice melted by then.... Really biased to like this place and in the end it was a sad sad sad disappointment.

This place has a very interesting seating arrangement. It's bar style with nice dark wood counters and matching stools. The art on the walls is dope. Every dog haus has their own wood art label that has the name of their location. The food is amazing, I can't say what is best because it is all good. The beer list ain't half bad either. A little pricy but you definitely get what you pay for.

Good was kinda pricey for a hot dog. The tater tots are horrible and cheap tasting and the onion rings are not very crispy but rather soggy.

  • Jimmy H.

this place was really good, i had "The Fonz" which is a sausage with pastrami on top and a lotttt of cheese (mozzarella). i would recommend getting tater tods instead of fries. what I really liked about this place was that they used hawaiin dinner buns which enhanced the flavor of the hot dog to be sweet and savory. only down side is there arent many seats available for customers to sit since they have such a huge customer base other than that everything was really good.

I've been to the dog haus a couple times and really like the food but today I took it to go and I was a little dissapointed didn't taste that good my son didn't even eat much of his burger it is a little pricey $18 for 2 burgers and 1 fries.

I tried the little mule today and love the flavor of the food. A mix of the Mexican flavor to American burger finished off by the Hawaiian bread. The burger is tender topped with fried egg. Cheeseburger for adventurous tastebuds. All thumbs up. I can't wait to see how my son's burger is going to taste like. I have it pack to go.

I am a big fan of Dog Haus. I usually go to the one in Old Town Pasadena but my friends live in West Covina so I took them there. This place is smaller than the other ones, but it still has the same cool vibe. I told my friends to build there own dogs or burgers and a couple of them did, but the other three went with the classics. The food came out within 10 minutes and was served by a cute and friendly girl. She brought the sides out last and said she wanted to make sure they were nice and hot for us. They were! The chili cheese fries were amazing! The fries were crisp and perfectly seasoned. The onion rings were generous and I think between all 6 of us we pretty much had something from every category. We wolfed everything down quickly and my friends were already thinking about what they are gonna eat when they come back. They also serve the Mexican Coke in a bottle which is my favorite! Big Plus! I'll be back fo sho!

we were looking forward to eating here for weeks, we finally went and it was terrible. we took our order to go, when we got home we found that half our order was missing. we drove back to retrieve our missing items, they kept us waiting another 30 minutes. their was lack of communication amongst staff was appalling, they left our order sitting on the counter. it was colder than it should've been when we got it home. the burgers were under-cooked and they did not include the sauce they charged me extra for. i was really looking forward to this but ended up being extremely disappointed. maybe pasadena or alhambra will be better organized because west covina will not get my patronage again.

I can't say too much more than has been said, but: I really like this place. I have been to this location and one in Pasadena. I have had the Thai sausage and the Cowboy Dog, as well as chili cheese tater tots, battered onion rings and fries. The fries I could live without. I love the battered rings: well battered, and well cooked so the batter is done throughout but not too crispy that they fall apart. The chili cheese tots also got my attention because even underneath the chili and the cheese sauce they were still crispy until the last tot, and it took awhile for me to finish them. Both dogs I have had were great too. Every time I go to this place the flavor is good and consistent, the wait time is not as long as you would think based on the numbers of people always there, and the portions are generous. Not too much so as to be obscene, but enough. I always feel satisfied when I eat here, and if one is close enough it can even be a lunch hour location. The location in West Covina offers bottled ginger ale, which WAY too few places on the West Coast offer.
